Casa del Vega is truly everything we anticipated it would be and more. CDV is a lovely guest house offering bright, comfortable accomodations topped off with excellent service from a friendly staff that is second to none. CDV is scenically located on the Vigie Peninsula with gorgeous views and beautiful grounds, and is conveniently located between attractions to the north (Rodney Bay area) and to the soulth (Soufriere area). I strongly recommend CDV to anyone looking for nice, quiet apartment-style accomodations in a lovely setting on beautiful Saint Lucia. I doubt you'll find a better value, and the service is not to be topped.

We stayed here on a trip to St Lucia to attend a relative's wedding. The last time we were in St Lucia was also for a wedding but we stayed at a high end resort outside of Castries. i must say that I am very happy with our choice of location this time around. The view was fantastic, the service and friendliness of the of the staff was impecable. They went out of their way to help us and to my mind, that is a major thing. The value for money was great, it's near the airport, in a great neighborhood also. Internet speed was fast and I will be looking to stay there again.

Casa del Vega is like a large house with several rooms and studios located in Vigie about a kilometer passed the airport. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is served on a large balconet with ocean view. Using US standards the rooms could use a bit of remodeling. However the studio I was in was spacious and comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet, but if sensitive to noise do bring earplugs as "nature" and dogs can be pretty loud at night (note this really applies to any location in St Lucia outside of secluded resorts). Casa is a great place to stay if you are an independent traveler on a budget and if you have/rent your own car or just need to catch a plane the next morning. Not for honeymooners or Sandals afficionados of course. I do want to mention the tiny private beach. The beach in itself is not much at all and mostly covered with rocks, but if you like snorkeling you'll really be happy you stayed there. Right off the beach are multitudes of fish, corals (some alive and colorful), anemones and so on. I paid $25 to go snorkeling at the Marine Reserve around Anse Chastenet in Soufriere, and there was much more to see in from of the Casa than at the so-called marine reserve.

We were suppose to stay there for one night before taking a flight to Dominica the day after. prior our arrival they said the hotel was full but they will arrange something for us in a neighbour hotel and we'll get free transport to the airport in the morning.

First, the hotel was suppose to pickup us at the intl airport for 60$us but they never show up. We had to take a taxi at 70$us

Second, once at the hotel, no one was at the reception. our taxi driver call and they said it was full. I grab the phone and explain them I had a reservation and they just say to me it's full they can't do anything.

So our taxi driver bring us to a hotel infront the airport, the sea view.

Of course in the morning, we had to pay again to go to the airport.

If you have a flight at the Castries airport, just go to Rodney Bay. It's just a 15 min taxi ride and you have much more thing to do there and of course avoid the Casa Del Vega... for their great help...
