We stayed here for a week in early January & were very disappointed by the hotel. It isn't really a hotel but rather self catering apartments & villas. We went expecting a 4+ star hotel & found a housing estate.
On the first day our room was not serviced until 5pm despite me asking at 3.30 for it to be done as soon as possible. The standard of cleaning after this was high but this is unacceptable.
The room had two shower rooms but no bath and only tepid water. The maintenance man who came to fix the hot water when we'd discovered that there was none told us that we could either have a firm pressure of water or heat. We managed to get a bearable compromise in one shower but not the other.
Breakfast was risible. An appallingly limited selection of food and no decent pastries. To add insult to injury when I went to buy water from the on site shop I was offered beautiful plump pastries to buy. If they are available to buy on site I think they should be offered to those who have already paid for their breakfast. It leaves a firm impression of the hotel trying to save money & cut corners.
Overall the food was very poor with limited choice & pretty terrible quality. This is particularly true of the pool side bar which served the soggiest chips that I have ever come across.
The beach is pretty but very windy & not very pleasant to spend extended periods of time on.
On a positive note the resort was quiet, the bed comfortable and the room a generous size. Some staff were excellent and very helpful, some noticeably less so.
We had some excellent meals away from the hotel, the Buzz, The Edge & Spinakers Are well worth visiting.
It is expensive to get to Rodney Bay in a cab but well worth it both for day trips to the beach & for dinner.
This hotel would suit a family where having self catering facilities is the most important factor but if you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere.
