“Great for total relaxation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Ti Kaye was a wonderful place to stay. We loved the spread out of rooms across the property - making it feel like a summer get away camp. Definitely better than a multi story hotel! This place feels like a vacation place.
The staff is top notch and always looking to please the guests. They are wonderful to talk with and get to know.
A couple tips for the location. Ti Kaye is very remote. If you want to leave at all, the taxis are expensive and the group tours are, well...group tours. I recommend getting a rental car. We left almost every night to try restaurants and explore. Plus, the cost of the rental was just slightly higher than the cost of round trip taxi service to & from the airport.
The beach vendors are very nice, buy whereas the hotel says there are only two, I'm pretty sure we met four or more, and you can tell them "no" but there's really no chance. They are very conversational - on the fringe of annoying if you just want to relax in peace - but they ARE very nice and just trying to make a buck.
We never brought money to the beach.
The beach is small but wonderful! The hotel says you can get towels at the beach - better to bring the ones from your room so you don't have to wait.
The beach also receives quite a bit of traffic from group boats. But it wasnt bad as the people must be told to stay by their groups. They never spread across the beach or used the hotel chairs.
Recommend staying in on Wednesday night for the managers cocktail hour - its really a lot of fun!
Ti Kaye was great and exactly what we needed for our vacation!

“Excellent Honeymoon Destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Ti Kaye and could not have been more pleased. This is the type of place that everything you read about turns out to be exactly true.

If you do not have a wonderful experience at Ti Kaye, it really is your fault.

The cottages are wonderful, especially the ones with the plunge pools. We stayed in DD and it was very private, and had an amazing view of the sea. All of the cottages do!

The food was excellent, Spa was great and the overall experience was wonderful.
We were so amazed that the staff knew our names the second day into our trip and treated us like family at the resort.

Ti Kaye is very far removed from everything, but exactly what we were looking for. As a matter of fact, we only left the resort two times.

We rented a car one day that was delivered right to Ti Kaye and drove the island to take in some of the sights. We also went to the Anse La Raye fish fry on Friday which was fun, but you could take it or leave it.

This is a great place. We can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Rooms with the plunge pools are amazing.

“Fabulous - utterly fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I booked Ti Kaye for my honeymoon; it was a complete surprise for my wife, she had no idea where we were going let alone what hotel we were staying in. We stayed 18 December '11 to 3 Jan '12

The hotel is absolutely brilliant and I list specific points below: -

1) the welcome you receive when you arrive really sets the tone for your holiday - you are greeted in the most friendly manner imaginable.

2) the location is simply stunning - one of the things many of these reviews miss is the location - it is breathtaking.

3) the rooms are very comfortable and exactly what you need; we had a Le Cottage with Pool - and, whilst nothing fancy, it lacked for absolutely nothing and had everything you could want for. The room was presented beautifully on arrival and was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The outdoor shower is good - but I would hope that they upgrade them a little to have proper 'rain shower' heads - it would make the outdoor showering experience even better.

4) food - first class, the new chef (he'd been there four weeks when we arrived, is a genius. Yes there are some birds around at breakfast - but you're eating outside - what do you expect - this comes down to the location - again, one of the mantras is to absorb the amazing setting. For God's sake don't go and think that the bird situation is similar to Hitchcock's The Birds - it's not and really didn't bother us (or anyone else we spoke to).

5) beach - great - yes there are some steps (160 or so) but in all honesty I never realised how many there were as whenever we were walking up or down there was wildlife to look at and therefore they didn't bother me; if you have serious trouble with lots of steps then I would suggest that perhaps this place isn't for you - although, I am sure the hotel staff would drive you down to the beach. The cruise boats do come along to the beach a couple of times each day, but only for about 20 minutes - it wasn't an issue.

6) beach bar - great for lunch and early evening drinks.

7) dive store - very knowledgeable staff and accommodating for all requests.

8) excursions - personally, I wouldn't go on the excursions if I could do it again - not that they aren't good, they are very good - but they are, in my opinion, very expensive.

9) Christmas & New Year - the amount of effort put in to making these occasions memorable is incredible - no thought was missed and this brings me on to the best part of all......

10) The Staff - never before have I experienced such wonderful staff - they are all so friendly and interested in you and what you like etc - they remember everything and help without a second thought; they are always smiling and are genuinely very sad to see you go when you have to depart; we have both travelled extensively and stayed in a lot of hotels across the European riviera's, Indian Ocean, Far East and other Caribbean islands and the staff at Ti Kaye are head and shoulders above any others I have met.

I read all the reviews several times before booking and again before arrival - I concur with all the positive ones; the negative ones have absolutely no bearing on the wonders you will experience, they are simply incorrect, or written by incredibly precious people who complain about anything and everything.

In summary, if you want the most relaxing and spoiling holiday you can have with the most incredible food, stunning location and amazing staff - then I really can't recommend Ti Kaye highly enough!

As the strap line says, Fabulous - utterly fabulous.

Room Tip: Pick Le Cottage with Pool - definitely worth the extra!

“Perfect Honeymoon Setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We originally looked at the Ti Kaye for our wedding, but decided on another location as we had elderly family and the steps to and from the beach may be a bit much for them.

Happily, it was the perfect honeymoon location! Most all of the guests were couples like us. No children and very secluded.

The staff were always warm and helpful, the meals were awesome and the wine cellar is incredible!

Room Tip: We staid in 'Nich' which is very secluded and separate from the rest of the resort....

“TI KAYE gave us another week in heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We have returned to this review several times because we love Ti Kaye. Katie has done a fantastic job operating Ti Kaye and adding wonderful amenities, such as the spa. The staff is so friendly that it is like returning home. The staff from previous years knows our names, and the new staff knows our names by the 2nd day. The rooms are airy and nice; I especially love the (private) outdoor shower attached to the bathroom of each cottage. The showers have tropical planted areas and tile floors. There is a new chef and the food is very good. Oswald makes eggs to order from the buffet breakfast. Returning home reminded me of how fresh the food at Ti Kaye is. Kim does a perfect job running the restaurant. Stella, Gus, Maxine, Ronald, and the rest of the restaurant staff do an excellent job. Cleus, the sommelier, has a wealth of information about wines from all over the world and is a very kind man. Terry, the beach dude provides wonderful service, setting up lounge chairs, unbrellas, and beach tables. We always enjoy lunch at the beach restaurant. Snorkling off the beach is very good. Kanika and Lita are very welcoming and are helpful when selecting and booking outings. The spa is magnificent because of the beautiful design with walls of windows looking onto the ocean and the terrific massage staff. All of the guests (from US and Europe) seemed very happy as well. I hope to return next year. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: All cottages have wonderful ocean view. No need for the plunge pool rooms unless you like very cold...
