“Beware young family's”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

If you are expecting an ocean view room beware they are very limited. Very disappointing You get a view of a fence
Funny thing they don't give irons in the rooms as they are worried about fires. That o k. But they have matches and candles in the room for the guests to use. Beware drycleaning and washing services are very expensive Also it caters to family and welcomes them with open arms. Lots of lovely young family's there but where is the family enviroment When they cater for beach parties for at 50 euro a head including drinks to non residents who are very drunk and out of control. You can't even get to use the beach facilities and restruant because they are taken over by these outsiders And their drunken behavior
They stream in all day to listen to unbearable loud boom boom music and skimpy clothes dancers on stage. That's ok to have all this. But it is not cool to have strange drunks running around the resort amongst young families
Many people were upset You couldnt even hear tv in your rooms. Starts at miday and goes till 7.00 pm
Staff in restruants and around the pool are very nice young people.
Not really very family orientated. And so many guests were upset. Even couples without children
Would I go back. No. It is a shame that little children were deprived of the use of the beach and swimming pool while these people took over their resort. Big shame

“Dissapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We have Just returned from the Guanahani in St Barths, I was very dissapointed with the hotel and the room , we had a beach room no 48, it was very small, with a tiny wardrobe and bathroom and as soon as you opened the door of the room all you could smell was damp, even though there was an electric air freshener plugged in 24 hous a day.The room had no view and when we lay in bed all we could see was the door to go outside and the wall. From the window all you could see was the garden wall, not what you want to see when you are paying a lot of money.
The beach party was shambolic, the hotel emailed us to advise us to book a table for lunch, we booked for 2.30 and acctually sat down at 4.15. For two nights a week there is no bar open in the hotel after 7pm.
The hotel is miles from anywhere, unless you hire a car it is difficult and very expensive to get taxis. I would not reccomend this hotel.Tthe one good thing about the hotel is the staff in the restraunts and on the beach, they are all young but very friendly and but for them our holiday would have been a disaster.

“My favourite place in the world”

St barths is my favourite holiday destination and I honk guan again is the best hotel on the island. The villas allow very goo privacy with their individual pools. They are very well appointed an maintained. The setting for the Guanahani is perfect and the beach there is beautiful. The only minor downside is the distance from gustavia, not such a big problem though as you rarely have to leave the hotel!

“Awesome Family Vaca”

I wasn't sure that going to this chic of an island was a great idea for our family but all my friends have been and said i should go. So we booked this hotel because they say they have family friendly rooms and services. It turned out to be so true which was a relief. The island and the setting of this place is so beautiful its hard to believe its not just honeymooners but we had a great room and lots of room for our nanny and kids to spread out! My hubby and I actually got a lot of alone romantic beach and dinner date time as they have a great kids club where the little girls were safe all day and even learned a little french. can't wait to get back to paradise!

Room Tip: get a connecting room/suites for family, ask when you book they are worth it for the extra space, an...
