This hotel is the least expensive one on the island and conveniently located in Gustavia. It is more a place to sleep although A/C rooms with tv make it the right spot for budget travelers. Remember Saint-Barth is usually an elite hideway, shunning poor visitors! One tip, coming by ship from Marigot (French part of Saint-Martin), the mooring place for the vessel after all passengers are disembarked at the wharf is precisely at the doorstep of the hotel, simply ask the Captain to go across as to be dropped, thus saving a walk. I stayed there in Dec 2000 and truly enjoyed the surrounding, with post-office, cyber-cafe, Swedish Consulate, cheap eaterie, coffee shop, local museum, new city hall and nearby beach. Saint-Barth is a lot safer than Saint-Martin and autostop (thumb op) is common practice to travel about the entire island. Go there, you might even find a job! Yours friendly, Michel
