The memory of a visit to any hotel includes the entire experience, and how it impacts your life. Staying with Hubert DeLamont, proprietor, and his family is both refreshing, easy, and most of all, comfortable. On an island, greatly dependent and focused on the taking from tourists, Hubert focuses on giving. You will receive privacy, comfort, nutrition, and you will realize, as I have, that this is a magical place. This boutique hotel is in Vitet, in the high cool hill country, and has wonderful ocean views. It is quite simple, clean and comfortable. If you need expensive, slick, hip, and trendy, this is not for you. Each meal Hubert prepared was superb. It is a short drive to any beach, and the pool is the cleanest on the island. I have been to every hotel on island, for either a meal or walk through, and when I return to St.
Barths, I shall return to Hostellerie des Trois Forces

It's in the middle of the island, but the island is small and you can hire a jeep so that's not a problem. Friendly owner & staff. Only stayed one night and was (because booked elsewhere) unable to sample the restaurant, which is said to be very good. Definitely one to consider if you want to watch your budget (although St Barths is expensive generally), especially if you go in the Jan-March season. I would go back, although my personal favourite, bangs for bucks, is Village St Jean.
