“It is newly renovated.. Great location, good value in St. barts standard.”

We just stayed there in mid December for one week, and it was a wondereful experience. At first when I read all the review on tripadvisor and other websites, I was really worried about my husband's choice eventhough I know everything is expensive in St. Barts and paying 400 US a night wont get us too far.. Once we arrived, I was pleasantly supprised that all the reviewed I read probably based on pre renovation (they probably just started a year ago?) The bathroom is brand new, four poles bed with mosquito net all fresh, and all nice wooden furniture. Everthing is super clean which is the most important thing to me since we have a baby with us. The only bad things about the place is there are no coffee maker in the room, and the TV only has French channels.

“Ah Relaxing.....”

Had a wonderful vacation here, we had a "euro" plan; traveled with another couple and each had our own suites right on the beach, this was THE BEST part! Each morning we enjoyed walks on the beach and all of the sea glass that was washing up; the pool was nice and a later dinner a couple of nights by the pool was wonderful; Hubby and I also used the spa, enjoyed great massages, and I went back for a leg and foot massage, also enjoyed the splendid products they offered for sale which I fell in love with and bought "Payot" have been hooked ever since; the staff was very professional and kind, the rooms were impecabbly clean, overall had a very relaxing experience and enjoyed the stay very much!

Room Tip: Get suites on the beach! the only way to go!

“Awful service, plenty of peers are cheaper/better”

Place itself is very nice in terms of setting and view but I found that I kept getting bitten by mosquitoes and the staff were not only not sympathetic but sometimes rude! So checked out of here and went to a simple beach hotel - no mosquitoes, 3 times cheaper and nice people. One to avoid

“Incredible staff, lovely setting”

A gem of a hotel, one of the oldest on the island. Lovely gracious staff especially Peter. Ocean sounds through the night, view breathtaking. The people the owners have found to run the hotel are dedicated and go out of their way to be accomadating. Had gone there for daughters wedding and had no expectations what so ever, very happy with all indeed.

“Great Hotel We'll Absolutely Be Back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

We spent 3 days in late August at the Manapany and will definitely be back. The hotel staff and management (family) were exceptionally attentive and accommodating. The room was very spacious, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant is excellent and a good value to boot. There were many other guests there but we felt as if we had the run of the place. We ate dinner in the restaurant and hung out at the pool bar at night. The next day the staff got us a rental car, and sent us off exploring the island beaches. The following day it was raining so we spent the day at the spa, which was excellent as well. When it was time to leave the owners drove us down to Gustavia to catch our boat.

There are lots of hotels on St. Barts, but if you want a comfortable, relaxing and family oriented atmosphere this is the place to be!
