“delicious afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 March 2009

My husband and I were staying at another hotel but wanted to spend an entire afternoon at La Sereno Beach Hotel. We had an elegant lunch, outside, with direct view of the ocean and the balmy winds. It was divine, and so very relaxing. It is true that there is alot of turtle grass as you enter the water, but the water is placid and the perfect temperature. And after a few feet, the water is crystal clear.
You will not be disappointed with an afternoon at La Sereno!

“The Sereno: average restaurant, poor beach”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2007

We have not actually stayed at the Sereno but only had a very average and terribly expensive fish lunch last week. It is a brand new hotel that is trying to be upscale, but trying only. The staff is nice, though, they do their best... It is located on a small and dirty beach, which is by far the uggliest we've seen on this cute little island. They wanted to charge us 15 euros per person to enjoy the pool in the afternoon after a 75 euro lunch per person check. We said no than you and confirmed we were definitely not planning on coming back...
