“Romantic Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Secluded spacious one bedroom villas set on hillside overlooking sea. Each villa consists of a large living room, bedroom and enormous bathroon with 2 sinks, separate jacuzzi tub and shower and separate toilet. The best is the large furnished terrace with lovely heated pool, chaises, table and chairs. Meals can be taken up at the main house overlooking pool(which no one ever uses) in the open air terrace or room service will bring to your terrace. Acclaimed restaurant is very good but wine list is very expensive (very few moderate wines). Service is wonderful. They give you folding chairs to take to the beach as well as an insulated bag for taking drinks. One of the best hotels we have ever experienced.

Dear Toiny Friend,

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are working on the wine list to find some good references with a moderate price. I will pass your comments to our restaurant and kitchen team which they will be pleased to read.

Kind regards

“"A romantic getaway"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We loved to stay at Le Toiny last August. We really enjoyed our private pool and the delicious breakfast beside the pool. The restaurant was great, very elegant and romantic.

“Very good need more sand”

Excellence in all details. In terms of privacy you cannot find better place even when hotel is fully booked. Staff do everything for feeling you unique as the last man on earth.
Compare to such high standards i was a littlle disappointed about menu. Not rich enough choice. I was not expecting a special kosher menu but at least more choice in terms of fish
Oh last point (you have too know) there is no beach at le toiny. In this side of the island the sea is too dangerus. So enjoy the view and private pool but forget the sand
Island is small so just rent a car (open top if course) and go to the beach if you really missed it

Thank you for your review. We pay the greatest attention to your different observations. Unfortunately, our kitchen is not ready to prepare kosher menus but the good news is that we have found a supplier based in Florida, who can ship Kosher menus to St Barts very quickly with all the best standards required.

Regarding our beach we do have an now a direct access, the road is now done and easy to access.

We thank you again for all your great comments.

“The jury is still out...”

I recently stayed at Hotel Le Toiny. The villa was lovely however this hotel is not located on a beach but somewhat makes up for it as each villa has its own private pool overlooking the ocean.

Would I stay here again? Maybe ...if I wanted to be in a secluded villa with my husband then yes. However, we prefer a hotel or villa that is closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. St Jean & Gustavia are our favorites. And we prefer the closeness of the Eden Rock Hotel to bars and lounges. However, we wanted to try something different on this trip. I also was not blow away by the food in the restaurant. Its was decent not spectacular. The staff was cordial not warm. Overall, I would say it all depends on your personal taste and preference.
