We just had our all time favorite vacation here, a few nights at the "Inguana cottage" and then a few in Cottage in the Sky. The hosts were 5 star fabulous and went out of the way to make the guests feel welcome. The terrace for meals has breathing taking views and makes you just want to curl up on the big sofa and read a book (which we did) and the host, Sophie, never makes you wait to have one of there homemade meals. If you get lucky the other host Patrick ,may host a dinner there as well one night (he is a chef too!). The cottages are quaint with outstanding views. If you want super luxury this is not the place. However, if you enjoy being part of the gorgeous nature around you will be in your glory here. El Momo is not for the unfit (nor is Saba in general) there are many steps uphill just to get to the lodge and more to your exquisite cottage. Saba is tiny and in a few days one will have a good sense of the layout of the island as well as the people. El Momo is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance to all the Windward side restaurants, shops, and trails. The hosts were extremely helpful and handled all of our meal reservations as well as checking on flights and reserving any transportation. They were very knowledgeable about the food, trails, and general area (not to mention they even trek your bags up the large number of steps for you). I could rave and rave that this was an amazing trip made to be the best by the warm and welcoming hosts of El Momo. Sophie and Patrick (the hosts) are perfect for their roles and we plan to go back the next chance we get.
