We visited Vieques during the year end, and enjoyed our vacation very much. The weather was fabulous all week long, the beaches wonderful, snorkeling/biobay magical; the locals were very friendly, people helpful and laid-back, animals free-spirited, the iguanas, dogs, cats, roosters, and horses, whom we became rather fond of. Casa De Kathy was nicely stocked with essential kitchen/bath/living supplies, conveniently located within only a short walk to the oceanfront main street (malecon) and one block to a grocery store and a bakery that does pastry by day pizza by night. Kathy was friendly and helpful whenever we needed her. It is a beautiful island and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Casa de Kathy provided just enough for us to make our stay in Vieques just right! We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very comfortable. It was an ironic luxury to cook a simple dinner and eat "at home" on our vacation. There was just enough of all we needed; plenty of space, towels etc. amenities, candles for brown-outs, fans & AC to keep cool etc. It's an easy walk into town, we recommend renting scooters to get around the island. Kathy is a great source of info, very friendly and accessible. She connected us with good taxi drivers and reliable advice. She also has plenty of documentaries about the unfortunate struggles and damage caused by the military presence in Vieques.

A real house, in a real local neighborhood, just a few blocks from the 'malecón' and the beach. Kathy is very friendly and very helpful, she'll hook you up with the local taxi drivers to take you to any hidden beach you want. She is a great source of information on anything Vieques!

Kathy's place is wonderful - very close by to the main drag (Malecon) as well as being in a residential area where you really feel like you are part of PR life rather than being just a tourist. There are a couple of small convenience stores and a charming bakery nearby which add to the experience. Kathy was a marvelous host and very accommodating. She is highly resourceful and helpful and was able to guide us very well in several ways. The two rooms we stayed in were lovely - one was a two bedroom and then we moved to a smaller one room with a bathroom - both were very clean and had ACs as well as basic and well stocked amenities. This was a great place to stay at!
