Casa Ladera with its 3 living units was perfect for our 13 family members (four generations). We had plenty of room to get out of each others' way but the pool area and outdoor kitchen was a great meeting place at the end of the day and at dinner time.
Each unit was very well equiped and nicely appointed.
Lauren and Jen were next door and Lauren was always available to answer questions about the property and the island. This is just a great place to stay on Vieques.

We stayed in the upstairs unit (2bd/2bth) of 3 units with shared salt-water pool. The ocean breezes and views from our upstairs balcony provided the perfect starts and endings to 7 glorious days in Vieques. And those days were as carefree as the owners, Jen and Lauren, and Renee, the property manager, could devise. Jeeps on the property are available to rent and airport pickup and delivery was provided along with Renee's excellent local knowledge. Cooler, beach chairs, and ice maker were included. We used the poolside grills and eating area with refrig, restroom, yard coconuts, and machete for opening them to great advantage under usually superb evening weather. The upstairs floor plan required AC only when the breezes failed on a few occasions. With the windows open you can listen to the sound of surf instead of the local roosters. The only negatives worth mentioning were a few problematic window louvers, lack of a kitchen knife sharpener (if you want to filet the day's catch from the local fish market), hit-or-miss DSL internet connection (it shouldn't matter on vacation), and lack of effective suspension in the vehicles (Vieques' roads are shock killers!). When the 2 gas stations on the island ran out mid-week Renee kindly provided an extra 5 gallons to get us through without losing any beach time. Be sure to ask about the fish market in town (shop before 10am for the day's catch). Phone in your sandwich orders for pickup on your way to the beach.
Casa Ladera is a keeper being close to town, groceries, and great local cuisine. You can trust your hosts and know they're available anytime on the adjoining property. We'll be back.

We booked 4 days in Casa Ladera based mainly on the reviews on this site and it did not disappoint.
The accomodations were perfect, clean and well maintained, because we went off season it meant that we had the entire property to ourselves, including the 20ft swimming pool and spotless poolside grill. We were picked up at the airport by Renee who was extremely generous with her time, orienting us to the island and and giving us spot-on advice regarding the ideal beaches for snorkelling. We took the option of renting a jeep which made the experiece all the more successful.
Half-way onto our stay we we planning our next visit. I couldn't be more satisfied or impressed.

Four of us (two couples) spent a wonderful week at Casa Ladera. Jen and Lauren are terrific hosts and go out of their way to make sure the Casa is well maintained and the info we needed to enjoy our stay was at the ready. Wish the weather had been a bit calmer so we could have snorkeled right on the nearby beach, but the strong breezes did make for such comfortable weather. Location is excellent for getting to the many good restaurants in Isabel Segunda and not too far from Esperanza so we made it there regularly as well.
