“Ponce was fun!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

The view from our room was awesome! The Caribbean on one side & mountains on the other! The room was great as was the balcony. We stayed in the Executive Tower, which is adjacent to the hotel. When we checked in, the hotel was quite busy with a lot of young folks, thus it was quite noisy. The person next to us was smoking on the balcony, which wafted right into our room. They checked out the next day, as did many of the young people, so it was quieter & not smoky. Guests of the executive tower can use the lounge (only at certain times) for breakfast & snacks. Since the lounge is not open on weekends, we were given a voucher for breakfast in the hotel. The hotel restaurant had MUCH better food. We were there on superbowl Sunday - which was fun. We did go into the casino briefly, & appreciated that it was non smoking. Great location to get many places in Ponce & beyond. Enough on the outskirts of Ponce, that it was away from the hub of the city. Pool was kind of small. Great walks around the property. All in all we had a great time! Staff were great, friendly & accommodating.

Room Tip: It seemed like all rooms have a view of the Caribbean. We were happy to be on the top (5th) floor.

Dear maxie49:

Thank you for your recent review of our Resort and the Southern Region of Puerto Rico.

Ponce is indeed fun, if you are not too much into the nightlife! The South of Puerto Rico and the city of Ponce offer a great variety of activities and attractions for the whole family, and of course our Resort is conveniently located with easy access to the vast majority of them, with plenty of on-property amenities and comfortable accommodations with great views from the balconies.

We are glad you enjoyed your room and your stay, and tahnk you for your visit, hoping to see you again in the near future.

“Best resort in Ponce”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

The Hilton resort in Ponce is probably the best in the area. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was well maintained. Our room had a view of the ocean and I believe all the rooms did. The executive lounge snacks and breakfast were not very good but the staff was very nice. I think the executive lounges of all the Hilton's might be reducing their services/food based on my experience. Don't bother paying extra for the executive floor.

Dear pearson30:

Thank you for your comments about our Resort based on your recent stay with us.
We are very happy you appreciate the hotel services and facilities, and thank you also for rating us as the best Resort in the area.

The Executive Lounge access and services is just one of the amenities featured as part of the Executive Rooms and Suites value, like upgraded accommodations, great ocean views from higher floors, quieter area location with direct access from the parking, etc... Nevertheless, we will take note of your comments regarding the snacks we serve and bring the concern to our Manager in that area.

The Team Members at the executive Lounge appreciate your comments regarding their attention and hospitality as well as the rest of us.

Thank you for your visit and we hope you will choose us again when your travels bring you back to Puerto Rico.

“Beautiful, Clean, and Very Relaxing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

This was my first vacation with my husband since we got married in 2009. We had the time of our life. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We looked forward to breakfast every morning because we got to talk to Alejandro, a supervisor, and he was so helpful in helping us plan our days. He knew which places to avoid and which places not to miss. And he was so upbeat and friendly, you couldn't help but smile after talking to him. All of the staff were friendly, some more than others, but Orlando (bartender) was the highlight!! He made us feel like we were the only ones at his bar and was wonderful company while we relaxed at the bar.

Our hotel room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Our bed was amazing!! I mean I wanted to bring it home with me. Can't say enough about how comfy we slept!! We had a fantastic view! The food and drink was fairly expensive, but you would expect that anywhere you go. Ponce is a great location even though it is not as metropolitan as San Juan but still had it's own highlights. Ponce is located very conveniently on the island so you could see a new part of the island everyday without driving too far from the hotel and still make it home to have some beverages and dinner.

All in all our experience was top notch. We will definitely return again (hopefully sooner than later) and would recommend this for singles, couples, or families!!

Dear Rebecca K:

Thank you very much for your kind review of our Resort, and also for mentioning Team Members on it! This is of great motivation to continue striving for guest satisfaction.

You'll be probably glad to know that Hilton has a program available online, where you can actually purchase the matresses, pillows and many other Hotel-used items to use at your own home!

We hope other Trip Advisor users will follow your advice and choose Ponce as a vacation escape, and fall in love with the South of Puerto Rico, a favorite destination that Puerto Ricans are trying to keep for themselves,.... although thanks to you, non-Puerto Ricans will start to discover, after all!

Looking forward to welcome you again in the near future!!

“Nice but not a resort feeling.”

I loved my trip but I really wished I stayed in San Juan. The reviews for the resort got me sold but there was nothing to do in Ponce. The hotel sold me a ocean front patio and got there and was staring at sand and a big ole nothing. I had to complain 2 times to get it changed. The breakfast was 19.99 per person wow was not worth it but got to town and spent about the same. Wow as far as the looks and people at the hotel I give them a high score. Best hotel I ever stayed at. Orlando the bartender was coolest person I met in Ponce. The guard who gave us directions told us how to get to the nice beaches all over 1 hour away. We went to San Juan and the food was cheaper and everything was close. I would have rather stayed at a less nicer hotel and had more choices on food and nighttime activities.

Dear Junyer561:

Thank you for your kind review of our Resort.
We are sad to learn that the main purpose of your escape to Puerto Rico was the nighlife,.. which is surely more varied and sophisticated in the metropolitan area of San Juan. However, the Southern Region attractions, easily accessible from our Resort, are mostly daytime options, such as the Ponce Art Museum, the architectural jewels of Downtown Ponce, the Rum Museum at Castillo Serralles, the Coffee Plantations, etc..., and of course the beaches, including Pelican Beach at Caja de Muerto island, Guiligan Island, or the excitement of Toro Verde Nature Park's zipline rides.

For your next visit to Puerto Rico,... if you are still craving to start your fun after sunset, we hope you'll choose one of our Hilton Worldwide family of hotels, like the legendary Caribe Hilton, El San Juan Resort, Conrad Condado Plaza, or the Embassy Suites San Juan, all of them conveniently located next to the bustling (and crowded) nightlife of the city.

“Very short very pleasant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Only stayed one night during the La Vuelta PR bike ride, and since I arrived after 6;30 pm and left at 6am did not see enough of the hotel beach pools and grounds. Considering there were over 50 riders arriving together check in was quick and efficient. Have a problem with being charged additional reort tax especially when I did not have chance to experience any of the facilities.

Dear mayumi007:

Thank you very much for sharing these comments about your visit. We are sorry the Cycling Tour of Puerto Rico meant such a tight schedule, but hopefully you will have a chance to visit Puerto Rico again, so you may explore the South of the Island with more leisurely time available, and of course stay and enjoy the various amenities our Resort has to offer.
