Stayed one night prior to a cruise. Checked in Saturday with no problems. Felix lived up to his reviews, he welcomes you with open arms and really makes you feel appreciated when you arrive to stay at this hotel. Was warned about the noise city side at check-in. Yes, it was a little noisy at night but no were near what I was expecting according to other reviews. The beach was beautiful with easy access to chairs and umbrellas, the beach staff was super friendly and did not make me feel as if I needed to tip them but I did anyway because how friendly, fast, and accommodating they where. Had lunch by the pool, service was a little slow but food arrived fresh and hot so no big deal. I could see were the glass shower could be a little awkward with mixed company, but my wife and I had no issues with this setup, because I have seen worse bathrooms like that of the Palomar in Chicago were the bathroom door is a slider that slides on the outside of the bathroom with about a 3 inch gap all the way around with absolutely no privacy for the entire bathroom.
Location is great with plenty of provisions within walking distance; Wendy's, dunk n donuts, Walgreens, chili's, liquor store, and a great semi-local restaurant orozcos(try the mufango). The lobby bar definitely becomes the place to be after 11, great drinks great bar tenders. Even the casino is a little small but plenty of games for all and quite nice. $12 dollar cab ride plus bags and tip from the airport not bad.
Room was clean and big, all staff very friendly and always ready to assist. Elevators a little slow especially when half of them broke throughout the day, stuff happens can't really blame the hotel for this. All in all beautiful hotel in a great location friendly helpful staff, good times.
Room Tip: new tower suites are big, have fridge microwave and living room, large balcony.
