Mont Caribe is located in a safe and beautiful area. Walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shopping center .Low budget place, Rooms are clean and comfortable. Excellent service and nice ambience. Fernando, the manager was courteous, polite,lots of knowledge and professional.

there are no words to describe Fernandos, owner /managers, friendly and considerate personality. he puts his guests 1st and makes sure you are comfortable.
Fernando put me in contact with a personal friend of his for a great deal on a rental car, which i used daily to travel the island on his recommendation, which included the beautiful Luquillo Beach, The Rain Forest, Ponce and countless other attractions.
This Guest house is located in such a great location, you can catch a bus to old san juan for only 50 cents! take a wonderful 10 min walk to Condado along Mcleary avenue, where you will experience great dining and casinos, cafes, wonderful parks and beautiful beaches! just great! I was only 3 blocks away from an amazing beach in Ocean park, which has the finest beach, this side of the island with great beachfront dining, a great bakery called Kasalta, Walgreens 2 blocks away! whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or a great shrimp taco, all is just around the corner!

I had a great experience at the Monte Caribe Guesthouse in San Juan. So good, in fact, that my intended one-week vacation turned into a long-erm stay. Ocean Park neighborhood is quiet and safe with the wonderful beach and the park just a few minutes walk from the guesthouse. Restaurants and and shopping are nearby as well. Modern and inexpensive (though sporadic) public bus service to Old San Juan and other city attractions is just around the corner. The guesthouse itself was clean and comfortable with managers Fernando and Kimberly always willing to go the extra step to assure satisfaction. Overall, a true gem.

I felt like a part of the family at Mont Caribe because of the attention as well as service that i had received. My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the location and scenery seeing as how the beach is within walking distance, 2 blocks, and shopping area is around the corner however they are located in a peaceful area. Didn't really hear much other than birds, and coquies (i think thats what they are called). Not exactly sure about the review before mines but i felt very at home there. Respectful and kind residents surround the hotel. Amazing how friendly people are around there. Workers were attentive to needs and quick to answer questions. Very well enjoyed my stay. Let me not forget the night life! It was truly amazing and we definitely plan on returning next year for a longer stay. Beautiful people and a beautiful place.
