In all my years of traveling have I not seen a "hotel" as bad and with terrible "service" to match it. Let me be clear when I say that I have been to Beautiful Puerto Rico many times and everyone has been absolutely Wonderful so this review is specifically directed to the dis service provided by Mr Ayala(General Manager) and the " Diamond Palace".

Can Someone Please Correct me if im Crazy... But I check in with my wife and 6 month old daughter for what was supposed to be a lengthy stay, we enter the room and it is absolutely filthy( i knew that it wasnt a 5 star hotel but this is rediculous) im talking about throw up on the carpet, unknown stains on the bed sheets, the toilet was over flown etc etc...

I go down stairs to the front desk and kindly tell Mr. Figueroa who then calls "Mr Ayala" to whom I expressed that all we wanted was to be changed to a clean room(we didnt want a refund or an upgrade or anything else for that matter) just a clean room and his response to me was, we cant guarantee that, and I asked you cant guarantee what???(double beds, the view) what??? and he looks at me and says the cleanliness and I said EXCUSE ME!?!?!?!?! How can you be in the Hospitality business and not offer someone something as Basic as a clean room?... And he says your in a "standard room' let me send someone upstairs to see whats the Big Problem and we'll call you, You all know how this ended...

This Mr Ayala is certainly in the wrong business and truly should be Fired because im sure were not the 1st or last to come in contact with him. So whoever is the owner of this place please take some action here for the sake of your own business and reputation. If not I strongly suggest that the Puerto Rico tourism board look into closing this place down specially when your surrounded by such Beautiful Resorts & People, then caught up in the middle of this is the Nasty Palace!..

I can say this was the worse place ever. How it is still in buisness i dont know. Casino was not available but besides that we didnt even stay one night we left the 1st night and when we asked for a manager one was not available to us. We called for about 4 days straight and still no manage available. The room was dirty there was a hole by the sliding doors that masquitos where getting into the tv was held up by a strap mold in the bathroom wooden board under the mattress and mildew smell everywhere. Resturant was closed when we got there pool was dirty. I had my 7month old and there was no way we where putting her in danger. Finally got a manager explained everything and i appealed the charges and got my money back. Next time ill go to an actual hotel that is known

This is the crappiest hotel ever. Thank good we only stayed for one night. It was filthy, dirty, the elevators didn´t work our friends got stuck i the basement in the heat. We couldn´t get a knife for the butter we were suggested a spoon. The casino was closed, the pool was dirty, and the staff was less then friendly. Put a few extra dollars on another hotel please. I know people say you get what you pay for but this was a freaky experience.
The best thing was that even the cockroaches had abandoned the building.

I totally agreed to all the bad reviews on this hotel. A travel agent booked this hotel for us at the rate of $118.00 (Cdn dollars almost at par) per night prior to and after a cruise. What a let down! I didn't want to step on the carpet barefooted or to sit down on the chairs. The bathroom ceiling was leaking. My husband was the repairman to the broken shower handle. There was a big hole with exposed pipes in the closet ceiling, granted, we should look straight not up when hanging clothes. We could not read in the dim-lighted room that we went to bed at 7:00p.m. We requested a wake-up-call at 4:30 a.m. for a 7:00a.m. flight, fortunately the noisy street and other guests didn't allow us sleep in. When checking out, the soundly asleep front-desk-clerk needed our wake-up-call instead. The moral of this story is: don't count on anybody but yourself!
