Richard at the pool/beach was absolutely fabulous. He anticipated our needs before us.

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott San Juan Resort and Casino last month for one night prior to a cruise. Although the rates were a bit high, we were pleased with the experience. The hotel was very clean and our standard room was large enough for our needs. The bathroom was modern and well-appointed. Although we were located close to the elevators and the hotel was fully booked we didn't hear much noise from the corridor or adjacent rooms. The casino is small but had the games we were interested in. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The beach and pool areas were clean and comfortable, although the ocean in January was a bit too rough for us to try. Our only complaint was with the drinks at the pool bar -extremely weak, especially for the prices they charge! The hotel is in an excellent location, with many choices for dining and entertainment nearby. All-in-all we enjoyed our brief stay at the Marriott and would recommend it to friends.

Our stay at the San Juan Marriott was pleasant. The hotel is on the beach and there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. It's a quick cab ride to Old San Juan and there is also decent bus service near the hotel. The room we stayed in was clean, well equipped with amenities, and fairly quiet. We could hear the girls in the room next door who were a little boisterous, but that may have just been because we had a room with an adjoining door. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Hotel is not much to look at from the outside and the lobby is kind of weird but the rooms are nice, pool is lovely, beach is spectacular. Hotel is in a great location with many restaurants nearby, all in walkig distance. It is also a short trip to Old San Juan which is truly a gem, not to be missed. Another hotel benefit: the health club is great, very nice machines, a lot of them, not too crowded. In general, service is average, check in was very good. Facility is very well maintained. I would recommend it for a short stay in San Juan (we were here four nights, five days).
