The best thing about the hotel is the location - right in the heart of Old San Juan near everything. The decoration both in the lobby and in the rooms is unique and in keeping with the boutique feel. However, the positive aspects end there. There is no elevator - our room was on the 5th floor and we had to carry all of our own luggage upstairs, there were no blinds or shutters in our room so the hallway lights made it look like daylight in our room at night making it hard to sleep, the showers don't stay one temperature (they went scalding hot to cold every 30 seconds), the bathroom tile was broken and looked like the remodeling hadn't been finished, there were no hangers or closet space or an area to put any clothing, there was a bar of soap but no other toiletries, there were construction materials behind the couch and sticking into the walkway in the seating area outside our room, and they were under-staffed. The list of small shortcomings continues from there. Bottom line: it's not worth the price you pay for it.
