Beautiful lobby, friendly staff, great location steps from amazing restuarants -esp Marmalade across the street. Great coffee in am, however noisy room -street noise woke me up at 2:30 am. Concrete floors in room were a bit depressing. No soap holder in shower, and a shelf on the wall in the bathroom for your toiletries is def needed. Didn't mind not having an elevator - part of the charm of a boutique hotel. T

The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is really unique and gorgeous. the decor is very modern and really has a fun aesthetic. The rooms are clean & comfortable although they did not include a hair dryer in the bathroom. The free fresh squeezed OJ at the continental breakfast was AMAZING! The hotel is located right in the middle of Old San Juan for easy access to sights, restaurants and certain cruise ship ports. The room can be a bit noisy as the walls and doors are not well insulated but it's not too bad. We were only here for about 12 hours but we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff at this hotel blasts music all night long with no regard to the fact that they work at a hotel where people presumably sleep at night. They do not turn the music down, even if you ask them to because your one year old is trying to fall asleep. Also, one of the workers invited all of his friends over on Saturday night to party with him in the lobby. We didn't get towels today, eventhough they took our used towels away. All in all, this is a very poorly run hotel with badly trained staff. Don't let the glistening lobby fool you. This is a truly awful hotel. I've had better experiences sleeping in chain motels.

Pluses:
Great location in old San Juan, well maintained for the most part - rooms are clean and seem well kept.

Cons:
-The LOUDEST hotel I've ever "slept" in - and it's not from the street or neighboring bars/clubs. There is a large open atrium that goes all the way up which the majority of the rooms face. The staff think nothing of blaring dance music in the lobby until midnight which could be heard quite clearly in our room. My pregnant wife went to the lobby at 8pm with our 18 month old daughter and commented that the music was really loud - the staff responded "I know" and didn't change the volume. I had to ask that the music be turned down every single night.
-Rooms are small and missing on details. The floors are concrete and there's not a rug in the place. There were no soap holders in the shower. They seem to have missed the details.
