We stayed here in San Juan Puerto Rico prior to going on our Royal Caribbean Cruise early February, 2012. The prices for food / drinks were very expensive. Be ready to pay $4.00 for a cup of coffee, $15.00 for continental breakfast & $18.00 for the all American breakfast which included coffee, juice, eggs, home fries / bacon. There were a few restaurants nearby within walking distance. Los Pinos Restaurant (Puertorrican) 655 Ponce de Leon Ave Miramar, Lima Restaurant (Peruvian) 667 Ponce de Leon Ave Miramar, Osaka Restaurant (Japanese) 670 Ponce de Leon Ave Miramar & Punta Del Este (Argentinean) 906 Ponce de Leon Ave Miramar, San Juan Puerto Rico.
There’s no shopping / things to do nearby. So, we decided to visit Old San Juan. (((FYI))) Even thou you could get a cab down the street from the hotel, Its best to have the bellman flag one down for security reasons. The hotel is equipped with outside cameras, which documents you, the cab & driver. It costs $12.00 to go to Old San Juan, one way, approx. 10-15 minute ride.
The only pro I could give the hotel is it’s a short distance to the pier, 5 minutes. If we decide to go back to Puerto Rico, we will stay in the Condado area (Ashford Avenue) where there are many restaurants to choose from.

This holiday season, my daughter and I visited Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino and had a fabulous time. The staff was absolutely wonderful, especially Grissel Rivera. She made us feel warm and welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel. She answered our questions about the island, transportation and even restaurants. Eduardo was outstanding. The service he provided was exceptional. The hotel was just beautiful and we loved the peaceful location which is away from the hustle and bustle, but just a short 75 cent bus ride to the action. We look forward to returning to the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino again soon. Thank you for making our vacation spectacular.

From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed at the wonderful service and helpfulness of the staff at this hotel. It made our stay such a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler staying in PRico from 1 night to 1 week. The front desk spg service was amazing, where Cynthia gave us all the information we needed and went out of her way to make sure our room was the best available to us. Elliott at the concierge desk is fantastic and was so helpful in planning out our few days in PR. In fact every staff member we encountered was friendly and incredibly helpful. The guest services manager Joset, went out of his way to make arrangements for us and made us feel like VIPs. He was so hands on, responsive and professional. Starwood should be so proud of this hotel as it stands for everything that Starwood hotels live by. The location is fantastic for getting to the beach or Old San Juan, and the restaurants and pool area are great!

Wonderful hotel, very cleann, big room, pool area outstanding. Great view on the cruise ships and close by if your leaving for a cruise. But, if you want to go to another restaurant than the one on site (Brazillian steak & breakfast), you will have to walk 10-15 minutes or take a taxi.We did walk to the Condado area, about 15-20 minutes, small beachs, lots of restaurant and boutiques. The construction projets in the area of the hotel did not lift, so its kind of alone out their.
