The room we were assigned was very tiny. No chair, no bedside table, no reading lamp. No room anywhere to put anything. The floor was tile and very gritty. The service was good and the location also.

A mile or so, pleasant walk, from Old San Juan. Closer to Condado Playa public beach and onward to restaurants in Condado. Buses in both directions pass nearby and cost 75cents, less for seniors. A shady park is across the road. The hotel is flanked by a cosy trattoria and by a convenience store. A Subway fast-food is two doors away. The Caribe Hilton, where there's a car rental office, is around the corner. The hotel is small, clean, well-equipped. Rooms have good mattresses, good pillow supply, plenty of towels, toiletries, iron and board, TV, coffee maker (I think), desk, easy chair, TV/dresser, air-conditioning, balcony with 2 chairs and a table. Breakfast in airy, sunny 4th floor. Coffee (no tea or decaf), milk, juices, fresh fruits, cold cereal, bread (toaster), packaged muffins & sweet rolls, butter, jam. Washing machine available after 3 PM; dryer available also. A previous guest detected an odor in the room; my husband didn't but I did. It was like a hayloft, nothing moldy or dirty as the hotel is very clean. Detecting it must depend on individual physiology and apparently most people don't. Although facing a busy street, our room was not noisy.

I spend 1 week every month in PR on business and usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Isla Verde. It's a nice resort style hotel, but their service SUCKS!!! I decided to give San Juan Park Hotel a try due to positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel is nice, quaint, quiet, clean, and comfortable. It is located a few minutes from the airport but far enough away where you don't hear the planes all night. It is in a safe area, within walking distance to the beach, and many historical buildings. There are a lot of places to eat and everybody around the hotel speaks English. Free wi fi, fridge in the room, free washer and dryer, free breakfast, and $60 less than the Courtyard. Now for the service. Rudy at the front desk is awesome. Nice guy, made sure I was comfortable, he told me the good places to eat, safe areas to go to, where to park, he just made the whole week long stay stress free and enjoyable. When you arrive, ask for Rudy, he will make sure you're taken care of and everything is perfect for you. I'll see you next month Rudy!

The parking is off site just couple blocks. This is a small hotel more like a motel. The front desk was very friendly. The appearance is fresh. The room size is moderate and clean. The is a small refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was very clean with walk in shower. This is a 3 star hotel with and extra star for budget price. One warning, the bed (king) is very, very firm. Not to my liking. I would stay here again if I wanted to save some money.
