This is a great location to stay. the price was good. It is a much better experience than the downtown San Juan location. The room was clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel has a great ocean view (upper floors). The restaurant good food and service (although a little pricey). The parking is FREE (unlike the downtown location). Although the inside hotel lot is limited, there is additional FREE parking on a hotel lot adjacent to the property. It's location is about 8-10 miles away from downtown and airport etc. but if you have a rental car it is a perfect location. I'm glad I didn't let the bad reviews turn me away. This is an island hotel and it is not in a newer building but it is an overall good experience. I cannot say the same about the downtown location. I will stay here again if I'm in San Juan.

Housekeeping needs a major overhaul! We used two different rooms and the walls were all marked up with yucky drips and stains. The bathroom wall had dirt, dust and spider webs with little gnats stuck on the wall (the perfect food for the lizard living in the room). The floor had crusted on dirt in the corners and there was dusty dirt all around the room's baseboards. No washcloths, shampoo or conditioner because the ‘shipment wasn’t in yet’. The shower had a sharp, broken, rusty drain cover which we asked the front desk to replace and they never did.

This is a very noisy place to stay because of all the street traffic as well as party noise from other rooms, and the 6th floor events.

Parking is not very good. There's an extremely small, tight fitting lot for maybe 10 cars.

The 6th floor restaurant has nice views but is also overpriced.

SAVING GRACES?
-Beds were very comfortable
-Breakfast room served a decent spread
-Across the street is a rustic restaurant (with very tasty local foods) named "Campomar"
-The little lizard living in the room provided hours of entertainment

I stayed on the first floor and the room was dirty. The paint in the bathroom was stripping off and there a/c unit in the room was very loud. There was a pour noise coming from outside of the room (possibly the ice machine) that would crank up every 4-5 minutes. Good luck finding parking was there are only 10 stalls connected to the hotel. There is a parking lot adjacent to the hotel for overflow. I was there on business and had no choice but to stay there so I didn't bother complaining because I was told Tue hotel was.entirely booked. People were being turned away as I checked in. There is no business center, but the the gal in office was kind enough the print my boarding pass. Next time I'll drive further and stay closer to San Juan.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. It had the most beautiful view of the beach. The people who work there were very nice. We did have a slight problem but it was taken care of right away!! Nice pool with a waterfall too. Can't wait to stay there again!!!
