Stayed there for 3 nights in October. I had never heard of it but went on the basis of the reviews I had read on here. Had a one bedroom - kitchen separate living room, bathroom and bedroom. The accommodation was good - you get what you pay for. Its the finishing touches and hospitality of the manager and desk staff that make this place. i rang on the of chance 11pm the night before we arrived - and Mrs Chin was ready to take the booking!!! Its a great place for couples and I travel quite a lot alone and this would be perfect for me as well.
The only down side was the rat bats - as they call them in Jamaica which came and pooed on our balcony every night - not nice as you could not chill out there - also not nice for housekeeper to come and clean every morning!!! DEFINITELY STAY THERE - I WILL BE BACK

We stayed at Piper's Cove in July 2011 using it as a base to travel inland to visit relatives. We flew into Montego Bay and hired a car from Island Rentals. A pleasant drive along the coast to Runaway Bay took just over an hour. Look out for the sign off the main road, easily missed at night!
On arrival we met the famous Mrs Chin, everything you read about her in these reviews is true. A more helpful host you would be hard pushed to find on the island.
We were shown to our apartment overlooking the pool and with a sea view. The main bedroom had air conditioning and a ceiling fan which kept the room very cool, essential as it was hot at night.
The friendly staff had put a rollaway bed in the living room and my two daughters, 11 & 9, were very comfortable there.
The bathroom was roomy with a bath & wall mounted shower with fresh towels as required.
The kitchen had a fridge and electric cooker and a few basic utensils. We ate out most of the time, but it came in handy for preparing snacks in the evening.
The apartment was cleaned to a high standard every day and all bathroom essentials restocked.
The complex has a small pool overlooking a private beach. This was cleaned every morning.
The beach is ideal for youngsters a gently sloping sandy area that is protected from the waves by a natural rock wall. Ant debris washed up during the night is raked clean every morning.
We only ate at the complex once when all of our relatives came to visit. The food was reasonably priced and delicious, throughly recommend.
We stayed for two weeks and although there were other guests it felt as though it was our private holiday home.

The rooms looks exactly like the pictures and we were very pleased with it and the food was the best her cook was very good!, the staff was always very nice & friendly, and Ms. Chin and Latoya felt like family to us, like we have known them for along time, they were very hospitable and made sure we were please with everything and they were always available if anything arised that we needed help with, thank you so much for making our first stay at a resort unforgettable and our Wedding day/Honeymoon there the best! God bless you all and we can't wait to come back again :)

had our wedding here in 2001 where miss chin catered, provided a room for the bride and my bridal party to get ready. she recommended a florist THE DAY BEFORE the wedding who was timely and prepped the pool area for ceremony and reception....the wedding party table was romantically set under the almond tree lol.and a baker (sheila movery in ochie) who made a 4 teir basket weave black cake to die for.miss chin helped to make our day perfect. we returned for our 10th anniversary a few weeks ago. miss chin and her staff never disappoints. had to make an unexpected trip for funeral in april and with short notice and earlier than usual check in time we were easily accomodated-as always. rooms are cleaned daily, the staff is honest and soooo friendly. each room comes with a wall safe to secure travel docs and cash. its just a good place to be truss mi. i will always choose pipers any time i am in jamaica. its close to all-dunns river, chukka, dover, treasure beach, coyaba, dolphin cove, ochie etc. if you rent a car its secure or if you want to charter a taxi, they will hook you up.
