I have stayed here several times as I regularly go to Jamaica for teaching purposes. This hotel is very impressive , the bedrooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated with fab views down to the ocean. The food is also very good from breakfast right through to dinner. I can definately recommend the jerk chicken wrap, yummy !!! Free wifi available in the lobby area and some rooms . It is hidden away in Runaway Bay and really is a gem. I recommend it - great for weddings too !

We stayed here for just one night after arriving from MBJ and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was also nice and spacious just as in the picture although the bathroom was a liitle tired but clean. I tried to use the iron in the room but the cord was split in 3 places and looked rather dangerous and the leg on the ironing board had snapped off so it wouldnt even stand up!
The restaurant service was however excellent as was the a la carte food. The chef even sent us a shrimp appetiser with his compliments. Unfortunately I was tired after the trip so retired to bed just afterwards but in the morning breakfast was again very good and we had the pool area all to ourselves until we checked out at midday. Lovely and peaceful. Not a lot around, residential but only approx a mile down to th ebach and apparently they have a comp shuttle service.

We were staying at a villa nearby and wanted to go out for drinks. On our first late evening visit everything was as we expected, pleasant surroundings, nice music and charming staff who were even more charming as the evening went on. On the strength of a couple of hours near the pool and bar, we booked for dinner a couple of nights later.

We were not disappointed; the food was superb, the atmosphere was delightful and we went home feeling extremely happy, eager to go there again. It was a little expensive but then we did have some things we wouldn't normally have at home - we were on holiday and having a fabulous time.

We also went there for drinks on Valentine's Day - late in the evening. There were a few couples there, old and young, dancing and smooching; ambiant lighting around the pool area, nice music from a live band who were simply wonderful. They played samba, dancehall, romantic, lovers rock - you name it - everyone got up and danced - even the charming waiters were on their feet for a twirl or two. It was a moonlit night and warm, just terribly romantic and best of all, a great deal of fun and fitting end to a wonderful holiday in Jamaica.

The staff were impeccable; it was nice to see that some of them were not that youthful but they really knew how to treat us and made us welcome. If you want old-time charm and romance, this is the place to be.

We need to warn you. My boyfriend and I bad made bad experience with this hotel with regards to billing and safety, We like to advice you to please ALWAYS check your Bill when dining at the hotel restaurant. More than 3 times we were way overcharged, of course I did my math and figured it out fast.


Secondly please be aware to lock all your personal belongings before you leave the hotel. We strongly advise you!!!!!! While dining at the hotel restaurant our cash and blackberry was stolen from our room. So far nothing has been replaced, no correspondence from the Hotel etc.

Would not recommend to stay at this hotel.

When dining it takes FOREVER until food is served.
