Sad to see that Sunflower Villas hasnt imrpoved since I visited which was more than 10 years ago. The problem I have with this place is that they advertise very beautiful but when you get there, its a huge disapointment (pool, beach, rooms)
First night we got there , they put us up in a room across the main road because there was nothing available for us. Was more like a Norman Bates motel...
Never felt so unsafe to venture out of a resort.
Ceilings leeked back then too and we had mold on our bed sheets....We got a room.....top floor of a villa we shared.....no door.
.They had one pool , germans were very clear on telling us we werent welcome.
2 star villa, thats what you get...never mind what they adverstise..

People please DO NOT ruin ur vacation by staying at this nasty place. Unless ofcourse, your idea of a nature walk means being chased by cockroaches the size of your fist throughout the "master suite." This was topped off with TOADS serving as aeromatherapy in the bath!!! Oh, I almost forgot the (once upon a time white) now beige brillow pads that were suppose to serve as towels. The sheets were filled with unknown stains and a nice little surprise of other people's clothing under the pillow. This was just a few of the oh so disgusting tings found in multiple rooms of the villas here......Word of advice to the owners CLEAN THE NASTY PIG PENS YOU'RE RENTING OUT!

In december of 08 i travel to jamaica to assist with the funeral arrangement on my 90 year old grand mother .I had toughts of staying with family or friends but because of a previous experience I decided to stay at the sun flower resorts .first and foremost the location is so ideal, its in close proximity to kingston and to montego bay ,its next door to two famous beaches and its a great location for people who want to relax and enjoy jamaica"s beauty and tranqulity .The other aspect of the property is the friendlyness of the people ,from the landscaper to the receptionist,their personality was what make my stay so enjoyable .Yanique and Vana present a great atmosphere and i was greatful to have met them and i have no reservation in recomending my friends to stay there when they choose to make jamaica their next vacation spot .hats off the the fine people of this great place..

First let me say the staff were wonderful, but it just did not make up for the general awfulness of the whole place. False advertising? You bet!!!! They advertise a Restuarant. None there. There is a dining room, but no menu's. Makes it hard to order. Also no set hours to be open. We arrived at 8:30 hungry and it was closed. Had to get a sandwich at the bar next door, which I might add had the better food. It is called Yellowflower and run by a very nice german couple. She is an excellent cook. We checked out on day ten. Just couldn't take the cockroaches and ants any longer. Also the roof leaked. The pool was at Yellowflower not Sunflower. They advertise the beach as a five minute walk. No way!!! There is a very dirty fishermans beach 20 minute walk away and the bathing beach took us 35 minutes to walk to. At the end of the street is an abandoed bar and restuarant. Sunflower was a very big disappointment. The appliances in the kitchen were rusted, the air conditioning worked sometimes, the roof leaked and the linens although clean were see through. I really liked the people but I would not reccommend this place to my worst enemy.
