This has to the worse hotel that I have ever stayed at. My friend called and reserved a triple room with a/c. I was the first to arrive, when I checked in they made me pay first before looking at the room. I payed $70 per night. When I got into the room it was a double room with just a fan. I informed them that we paid and reserved a room with 3 beds and a/c. They informed me that they were sold out and that my friend never booked the room. I knew this was a lie because they charged us for an a/c deluxe room. This room wasn't even worth spending $30 a night. The tv was broke, the bathroom cabinet was falling apart and the closet was torn apart. The next morning the owner said that he mischarged me and that he was going to refund me my money and that I should only have been charged $60 a night. At this hotel they have the phones set up so you cannot make a local call without using a phone card. I went to one of the co-owners and told them I wanted to move rooms and also I wanted to buy a phone card. They gave me a hard time with moving rooms, I had to be demanding and be the pushy american. Since my friends missed their flight the owner couldn't understand why I wanted to move rooms. I informed them I paid for a deluxe triple room and that I was going to get what I paid for. They still were giving me a hard time about moving. They said I didn't need such a big room since I was traveling by myself. I told them what happen to my friends but I also informed them that did not matter since I paid for a deluxe triple room with a/c. The new room was slightly better, there was a/c and the room was cleaner then the other but the toilet was very stained and they did not finish the bathroom so there was a cabinet and the shower wasn't finished. I asked to buy a phone card and they informed me that they did not have any left. They said I could use their phone and then one of the co-owners said I could use his cellphone. I made a local 20 second phone call. At the time the co-owner never identified himself. I thought he was just a worker at the hotel. He followed me to my room and told me I needed to pay for the call. He wanted $2 american dollars for the call. I told him that I did not have it and I threw him 50 jamaican dollars (.75). Everytime I saw him after that he kept making rude comments. He cornered me at one point and asked what my problem was. I told him that you do not volunteer your phone to someone and demand afterwards to be paid. That it was rude and greedy. He told me that people are always using him and I informed him that he did not have to give me his phone and that I never asked to use his phone. That he could have pointed me in the right direction to a phone booth or that he could have said "sorry there are no phones". My friends finally arrived at 2am that morning and my friend was pissed that they did the old "bait and switch" with the room. He told me that he spoke to the owner when making the reservations and the owner reassured him that the room would have a/c and 3 beds. We checked out the next day and they would not refund me the money I spent the first night. They said my local call cost $10. Besides the rude treatment and the horrible room, and the green/dirty pool. I not once felt safe at this hotel nor the surrounding area. I have traveled all around the world and at a lot of 3 world countries this by far was the worse experience and worse hotel that I have ever stayed at. I forgot to mention that when I checked in my driver even stated that he wouldn't stay at this hotel and he's jamaican. I would not recommend this hotel even to my worse enemy.
