My wife and I just returned from a week-long vacation in the Port Antonio Region. Two of the nights were spent in Jamaican Colors. I cannot speak highly enough of our stay, the hospitality demonstrated by the family who runs the hotel, and the beautiful and unique location of Jamaican Colors. With a lush green backdrop on one end and the expansive ocean on the other, it’s a wonderful place to relax and take in the beauty of this picturesque region of Jamaica. The property is well kept, lined with flowers and trees, and includes a stunning view of the waves crashing into a mountainous cove below. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely; we stayed in the room called “Dr. Bird”, though I am fairly certain that all of the rooms are alike. The family that runs the establishment includes Bob, Martin, and their son Romain. They went out of their way time and time again to ensure that my wife and I had a comfortable stay. Martin removed sea urchins from my toes that I got from Boston Beach. Romain woke up with me at 7:00am to teach me how to surf. The family cooks great food and does everything with a smile. We learned a lot about Jamaica from talking with them. They directed us with a wealth of information on things to do that were nearby, including all kinds of tips on how to get the most out of each sight. Besides the family, the rest of the staff were very friendly and polite. All in all, it was an excellent experience.
