Mom's Place is locate right next to the Bar-B-Barn on Norman Manley Blvd. We hired a taxi to take us from our cottage at Green Leaf Cabins and he drove us down a long lane right to the beach.

We were instantly in love with the location. It was 40 steps from our room to the bar and 20 steps more to the 7 Mile Beach. The beach scene is causal when compared to where we had stayed for the two weeks prior down by For Real, the big pink resort further away from town.

The owners and staff will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

My husband and I just got back from our vacation in Negril. Moms Place is just right for us. It has lovely one room bungalows right on the beach. The courtyard has a lovely and charming appeal. The rooms were clean and simple. You will not go wrong staying at Moms Place. As we were on the plane coming home, we made plans to come back again and stay at Moms. I can't emphasize enough how nice it was. Simply a gem.

We arrived at Mom's Place after travelling the whole North Coast of Jamaica from Port Antonio to Negril ,and ended up at Mom's Place for our last few days.
Right from the moment we arrived, we felt right at home.
If you are a tourist who likes to stay at 5 star resorts ,this is not your place.
However, if you are a traveller ,who likes the rustic, smaller, cozier places this is the place to be.
Located right on 7 Mile Beach ,Mom's Place has 6 cottages.
The rooms are clean and tidy ,but not big,........but life is on the beach and in town and not in your room , so who cares?
Mom's place has it's own bar and restaurant .
It is located close to the town end of 7 Mile beach , and so it is only 15 minute walk into town and a 15 minute cab ride to Rick's cafe ,where you will see the cliff divers perform their magic.
For places to eat and drink ,you can just walk the beach ,and choose from one of many places. Of course you can always buy a Patty from the beach vendor,who packs his bike with a hot box full of patties.
For those who like to experience the nightlife, The Jungle Nightclub is just a 10 min walk up the road.
Mom's Place is a family owned property, and a great place to stay, I will definitely be back!

Mom's Place is a good place to stay but it is quite hard to find. We had to get a guide to find the place as only a small and hidden road leads to Mom's Place. The bungalows are right beside the small restaurant and bar but there was no noise as it closes down in the late evening after dinner. The restaurant is about 2 metres away from the sandy beach which is only 4-5 metres, so while waiting for breakfast to be served you can just go swimming in the ocean and come back when you see that breakfast is ready (btw: there is no pool). Prices for the room were fair but as most times usual you have to pay extra for air conditioning (A/C). Wifi was available for free, also as usual. There are only two parking spots, so either you are lucky or have to leave your car outside on the street where you can't see it from Mom's Place at all.
