Westender is the perfect place to have your vacation. It's right on the cliffs and has a places to walk into the ocean or snorkel right into the ocean. They have a sea pool right next to the ocean and on the other side of the property as well. The food is exquisite and you get a real taste of Jamaica. You can fish right on the property and have the cook grill you up your catch of the day. The hotel staff accommodate you to make you feel right at home and by the time you leave you have fallen in love with all the hotel staff and the culture. The Westender is the quite hidden paradise that everyone dreams to escape to. Only 15 minutes from the hot night life of negril with the famous ricks cafe and regge shows every day of the year. Jackie's on the reef, is the famously rated top 10 spas in the world is located right next door to the Westender. They have yoga and massages right on the water. This place is heaven for the laid back not into yuppy scene kinda gal or guy. Once you have been here and meet the people, you just fall in love with the place. You'll make it a yearly trip!! The exotic fruit and the lush gardens will keep your senses tantalizing.. It's the greatest place ever And you will discover new things everytime you visit!! G

My wife and I stayed at the Westender Inn for 4 nights at the end of January. It truly lived up to the wonderful reviews on here. Many of the guests were longer term, and the Westender really excels at meeting their needs, while making sure people like us on short stay have a wonderful time.

The Westender Inn is truly an Inn experience (Dan and Sue are great Inn Keepers). The staff is wonderful and friendly. Even when at capacity it always seems possible to find a semi or fully secluded spot to watch the waves.

The food was very good and the Sunday night BBQ is a must. Breakfast service was a little slow, but that's kind of the pace of the island. Breakfast is also very good - but note I booked through Hotels.com and was under the impression it was included (It was not I have written Hotels.com an email).

I have a couple of suggestions - I could have done without the unplanned movie night on Tuesday. They played the God Father which is too long and violent for a vacation, and because of where our room was situated we kind of had no choice but to watch. Westender should also have some kind of gym equipment - even just a treadmill and some free weights. The wifi is really spotty at best.

If you're really looking to get a way, the Westender is the perfect place. When I passed the giant ostentatious all-inclusive hotels I knew I made the right choice. The Westender is the opposite - low key, natural, and unspoiled.

My wife also said she had the best massage ever at Jackies next door.

By far the best in Negril ! From the very attentative staff and the most comfortable beds in Negril I would stay nowhere else again. Not to mention you have the BEST picture perfect sunsets everynight.! Close enough to all the fun, excitement, and night life, but still in your own paradise by the sea! For just a getaway spot or planning any special event there is nowhere else to go! I dare anyone to find a better place to stay !

Waves crashing on the rocks, a roaring bonfire, a cooler full of Red Stripe, and a beach chair in front of the NFC Championship game on a huge screen under the stars. It doesn't get any better than that!!! A terrific destination, an attentive staff, and all of the natural beauty you would expect at the far west end of Jamaica.
