“awesome..with a catch”

just stayed for a week and love it, mainly because we hate the garbage they call food at all inclusive resorts..we eat at all the great places near catcha...LTU is bulletproof great, jamcan right down the road did us the best conk stew ive had yet and without question, the food right at catch a falling star might be the best you'll find..views, the pool, the 'warmtub', snorkeling, ivans bar, all you'll ever want from a resort..now the bad news.. do not stay in one of the two cottages by the front gate! we had pisces and listened to dogs bark ALL NIGHT! Im not joking, we are going back but we'll be by the water and probably not hear so much..but by the gate its just amplified dog barking and cars..not fun and the fan and air conditioner wont drown it out..so go there, youll love it, but dont do pisces, youll never sleep

Room Tip: take anything as close to the ocean as you can for quiet

“Perfect Winter Get-away !!”

We rented Aquarius for 6 nights in Jan. Loved this little place ! Friendly staff, beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to several other restaurants and so close to Rick's ! Ivan's restaurant on the grounds is amazing ! No need to go anywhere else for food. Not luxurious but certainly a bargain ! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good, clean, place with a wonderful restaurant and amazing views.

“Perfect spot, we will keep coming back!”

We discovered Catcha through Trip Advisor 2 years ago. We loved it so much, we didn't consider trying a different resort for our next trip to Negril. The property is located on the cliffs and it is simply majestic and relaxing. The staff puts you at ease and is always helpful.
We have stayed in the 6-unit building in an upstairs room, and in the Gatehouse cottage for our second visit. We enjoyed both. I will mention that the Gatehouse cottage (since it is located near the entrance of the property) can be noisy at night (cars, dogs barking in the neighborhood), but we didn't mind that too much (if you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider a different room). The Gatehouse does have a private patio which is a plus. We will continue to go back and try different rooms, just to get the full experience of the property and enjoy it all.
Other things of note:
The pool option is fantastic, and a great alternative to a dip in the sea. One of Catcha's drivers, "Dandy", is always a pleasure to work with if you ever need to hire a driver.

We love Catcha and will be back soon!

“Wow!”

I had been to Negril several times before and had not heard of Catch Falling Star prior to this visit. In order to spend a few extra days in Negril, my companion and I spent two nights at Catcha Falling Star before heading off to our final destination. We should have spent a week! Wow! Great location, wonderful bar, and the best restaurant I've eaten at in Negril. I plan to return as soon as I can and stay longer next time.

Room Tip: Check the website or call. The staff is extremely helpful.

“Still nice, but not up to prior reviews”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Great location and good service, but is a bit pricey by my standards. Our bedroom had A/C which was required because the room had poor natural air flow - positive because many places only do fans. But the views and the sunset, not only from our patio, but from the open air restaurant were breathtaking. I think since the last reviews the hotel has gone up in price and no longer does breakfast come with the room. So price is my only issue. When a rum and coke tops 1000 JAM (after tax and gratuity), your thinking mighty good about your ambiance, because it sure is not the cost of the product. The other nice thing is the location, with so many eating choices within walking distance, you do not feel confined to the hotel restaurant. Overall, a very nice property
