As the Beaches resorts are already distinguished as top of the line resorts my review is just to solidify this. Beaches Negril was by far above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated great. The rum punch was awesome and the cold rag and punches for the children were a nice gesture to be greeted with. The room we stayed in was super clean, the bathroom was huge and very clean as well. The Sesame Street characters were great along with the nightly show at 7pm. The food was delicious, especially the ackee and salt fish for breakfast with the calliluu and dumpling.......yummy! The security guards at the beach are great because they really watch out for you to make sure you are not getting ripped off from the locals selling their souvenirs. New towel design is lovely surprise everyday. The resort is so accommodating it did not seem that there was one request they did not fulfil. We were worried about if our toddler was gonna like the milk and she drank it with no problem. It was actually really rich and tasty. The only bad thing about our trip was leaving. It went by quickly but we did the last minute deal to get the 65% saving per night. If you are on a budget the last minute is an awesome way to experience this resort for a fraction of the original cost. We will definitely be returning. Endless activities for the children. Slides are really fun, for the adults too!!!! Best vacation ever, super safe, super fun and amazing memories.

“Excellent Family Vacation”

We stayed here for 4 nights and I'm glad we did..

Such a wonderful property with all the activities not just for the kids but also for the adults...

The staff was excellent and the food was great and the room was nice & quiet and with a view of the Ocean...

Kids spent most of the time in the Water Park area or the kids club...

The beach sand is awesome, imagine putting sugar in your hand and letting it fall between your fingers...

It was about an hour 10 minutes drive to the hotel from MBJ airport...
Would definately stay here again...

“Great family trip!!”

This was our first trip to Jamaica and definitely will not be our last! Our group was 8 people, all above the age of 16 and we all had an amazing time. In the past we have stayed at Atlantis in the Bahamas and that trip did not even compare to what Beaches Negril had to offer. The rooms were plenty big enough, as we were only in them to sleep since we were kept busy all day long. We had a chance to go to every restaurant besides Arizona, and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Our favorites were the Mill, since it was a buffet all day and it was great for breakfast and lunch. Also go to Kimonos as the atmosphere was great and the chefs were hilarious singing to each other and joking around. However make sure that you make reservations as soon as possible if you decide to go to Kimonos. We did not use the pools since they were geared more toward younger kids with the slides, but that was fine with us because the beach was unbelievable. It was like paradise and we never wanted to leave.
The best thing about Beaches Negril besides the magnificent beach, was the friendly people who not only worked there, but took time out of their day to get to know all of us. First the entertainment staff was amazing! Definitely get to know Jermaine, Omar, Okuson, Kenroy because they were all so friendly and fun to play volleyball with every morning. Oshane was our favorite, not just of the entertainment staff but of anyone there. From hanging out with us on the beach, to eating late night snacks, and meeting us for breakfast on his day off, he really made this trip memorable. He even made a CD for us to dance to on our last night. We continue to keep in touch with Oshane since he became one of our good friends there and we hope to see him whenever we come back! The only negative was that we met him so late in our trip:( If you are looking for a good drink on the beach, find Ned at the beach bar. He will always greet you with his trademark saying "What?! I don't believe it." At nights look for Jermaine at the bar at the Bigtop, he makes the best Jellyfish shots. Finally Damon and Deneisha took great care of us when we rented a hut for the day. We never had to leave the beach to get drinks or food because they were constantly checking on us. Kenardo will hook you up at watersports and always give you a good laugh if you talk to him. The watersports were great because we would just walk up and ask to kayak or banana boat and we would go right out. Finally if you are looking for some beautiful pictures on the beach at sunset, Collin is your guy. We met him the first night (Sunday) and he took our pictures, but we were still in our travel clothes, so he promised to take our pictures at sunset later in the trip. Whenever we saw him he always said hi to us and reminded us that he would see us on Thursday and when we went down to the beach that night he was there waiting for us. The pictures turned out great and we had a hard time narrowing them down because we loved them all.
All in all Beaches Negril was the perfect trip. There are some negative reviews about this place, but we have nothing negative to say. The friendly staff was what really made us want to come back because you just do not meet down to earth, great people like that every day and we look forward to returning soon!

“Fabulous Family Vacation”

Another great Beaches Family Vacation. We have travelled to both Beaches Resorts in Turks and Caicos and Negril. We are still having a tough time deciding which one we liked better! Turks still gets top marks for the food but the Jamaican people were key to making our 2012 vacation fabulous. Jermaine and Oshane went above and beyond making our family feel welcome. They joined us for dinner one evening and were very well versed in teaching us all about Jamaica, the people, the culture and the cuisine. They did an excellent job getting our children (aged 12 and 13) involved in all of the daytime and evening activities. We all looked forward to the evening entertainment. Beaches Resorts truely are a family vacation destination!

“A Tranquil piece of Jamaica with a Family Freindly Service”

I had the opportunity to stay in Beaches Negril by Sandals, although not quite close to the airport this 90 minute ride it really gets your antisapation heightened. Once we arrived the entrance was some what inviting. As I proceeded to the lobby I was inendated with staff from every angle they assured that all would be taken care of and made my wife and I feel quite at home. We were immediately taken to the Suite concierge room where we were taken care of with good wholesome Jamaican Hospitality, not to mention there renowned Rum Punch! We were in our rooms with in 20 minutes of arrival, once we arrive to our room which again was a suite room we were amazed to see a very well kept room from the natural hardwoods and crown mouldings that made the rooms decore to the king size bed to the seperate washroom and wash area. The balcony was a reasonable size and had quite the breath taking view of the ocean and the grounds. We then had the opportunity to search and explore the grounds and was quite impressed with the quality in landscape and up keep. The pool area for adults was incredibly large and clean, not to mention the pool bar was quite large and well stocked with brand name alcohol not the typical no name local brands. The bartenders were extremely helpful and out going and should be comended on there efforts. The kids pool area again amazingly large equipped with a lazy river, large splash pad and a 3 storey slide for all to enjoy. The beach surrounding Beaches was impecable to say the least the ocean was as smooth as glass for most of our stay and the clarity was unimaginable and the depth is knee/ hip height for as far as you could walk. The white sandy beaches was absolutely comforting for our daily walks in the sweltering heat and sun. As far as the local beach peddlers although they were the same people daily, they were extremely respectful to your decsions and very outgoing to have a converstaion with you with out any pressure sales, the locally hired Gaurdsmen were right on the peddlers before you could see them coming but I had not witnessed any type of altercation. The beach was also equipped with private huts that were available for all geusts who wished to have a private area to enjoy sun which also accompanied a private butler service for those family or couple breakfast, lunch and dinners on the beach right at waters edge. They also offered a great beach massage area. The Mill buffet restaurant was a great atmosphere and great staff the food was great for all meals and incorporated the north american foods along with Jamaican cuisine. The view a decent view of the large pool area. The seville restaurant one of the a la carte restaurants was set to be a rustic italian, Unfortunately on two occasions it was extremely disappointing both in service and in the quality of the food prepared. The lengthy time to get appetizers and entrees would make any food conisuer want to leave we waited 50 minutes for our food while we filled up on bread and water while we waited. Althoughsignificant changes are required Beaches was very open to our critisism and actually were revamping part of the restaurant to incorporate piano cocktail area. Arizona restaurant was a decent TEX- MEX cuisine serving up your chili, tacos, fries, burgers etc... not a bad restaurant for a quick bite, however this restaurant needs work as far as a dinner menu goes. Another restaurant which was our favorite Stew fish a new exiting restarant located on the beach and captivating the ocean , breeze and the overall ambience was excellent the food was absolutely superb thanks to Chef Paulo a truely exceptional restaurant they may have to extend the size as its 6 tables will soon be well short of what is needed. The staff at Beaches was incredible from Daniella Pons the Director of operations, to Odane the suite concierge attendant all made our stay truely exceptional.
Beaches is a great family or couples resort and has a great reputation of entertaining kids of all ages through the Xbox room , camp/ day care for all ages and not to mention the several appearances by the cast of Sesame Street. The adult entertainment was a great disappointment as witnessed through the almost absent crowds, the tribal dances, and mis matched juggling acts were a mere kids party entertainment at best. We had a great time and would recommend this resort and would proudly attend this resort again. Thanks to all that made our stay a memmorable one.
