had a great time here. food was very good, service good and friendly. location was excellent. minor point is that since the resort is on the bay, you cannot walk directly to seven mile beach since other properties security block this. so if a long walk on the beach is your thing, this may be a bit limited. otherwise, the bay was serene and beautiful.
beach chairs were plentiful. we found one close to teh sea any time iof day. drinks can be ordered right on the beach. all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
had an oceanfront room and balcony had a great view of the beach and the sea.

We travelled to Couples Negril with 2 other couples in January 2012. We booked our trip with Mitch Toren of TripGuyTravel. I would highly recommend this agency. This the second time booking with Mitch, Our travels have gone smoothly and our 3 rooms have always been close.
This was our first time at Couples Negril 2 years ago we were at Sandals Whitehouse and loved that resort. I found myself often comparing the two. Both are excellent properties. I do agree with many that this resort could use a little updating. However everything was clean. Our housekeeping staff were great. We were on the third floor of building 1. It was quiet and a beautiful view. We have a nice balcony.
Food was great. The asian restaurant was fabulous. The steak house was super. Breakfast and lunch buffets were scrumptious. Drinks were very good. Good quality of liquor. Make sure you have Lyndon make you a martini in the piano bar.
I thought the service from all the wait staff in restaurants and bars was better than what we experienced at S. Whitehouse.
This was the smallest resort than we have stayed at. I really liked this smaller resort. Everything was very relaxed, laid back and less populated.
The pool and swim up bar was relaxing, the beach and ocean were awesome. Had a great time laying on my raft and floating in the ocean. As I walked the beach each day and saw the 3 other resorts along the beach, I honestly feel we chose the best resort.
We had an awesome vacation ! I hope to return !

This was our first time at an all inclusive and we were really nervous, but no worries. My husband and I agree that if you don't have a good time here then it is all on you. We loved being able to take out the kayaks and the Hobie Cat. Did this everyday. A highlight was the Cat Cruise to swim in the caves. Even though the resort was booked there was always plenty of space to be alone, or meet people if you wanted to. We took a cab to Cosmos and walked the rest of the seven mile beach and hands down Bloody Bay rocks! We were so happy we chose this location. Absolutely the nicest beach in all of Negril. The Jamaican people have to be the most warm and friendly people we have ever met. Yes vendors ask you to look at their stuff, but that is how they make a living. They are just doing their job. A simple, polite and respectful no thank you is all you need to say. Overall this was a great time and although my husband and I never like to repeat places we have visited ( like to visit new places to experience new things) we actually said we would go back. That means a lot coming from us. All the staff were great. Food is good and always available. The showtime acts at 9 PM were really fun. Make sure you participate, they try really hard to make it a good time. We could see why people return here again and again. We might just do the same. Cheers!

The weather was amazing in January, sunny 80s, maybe 15 minutes of rain in the afternoons. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We were there for a wedding which their wedding planner seemed to do a great job, the only negative is the site is next to the nude beach. So, during the ceremony there are naked overweight men and women only up to their knees in the water, standing in the background watching the ceremony (the pictures are pretty funny). The restaurants have great selection, we didn't get tired of the buffets (which happens frequently for us with the all inclusives). They have activities going on all day and the snorkeling and scuba was nice. A couple of side comments 1) Anti-diarrheals are prescription only so bring your own otherwise is $365/visit with resort doctor (who is VERY friendly) 2) if you need a hospital (I had a gallbladder attack at airport, nothing to do with resort!) bring your own box of gloves and hand santizer... they don't use gloves and they don't wash their hands, it's really creepy. The hospital systems are very backwards and very expensive, you have to pay up front ($2500 when you walk in door) and they continue to ask for money.
