Overall the place was pretty good. The room was big but the bathroom was very small in proportion. The staff were friendly enough but you could tell they were just 'going through the motions' so it didnt feel very sincere. Would have been nice if we didnt have to pay to see the dolphins and the tigers since they were in our own hotel. We managed to see most of the big hotels on the strip and I must say that the mirage was one of the nicest.

I stayed at la mirage hotel in 2002 arriving after 8 p m when it was very dark. I simply wanted to crash. the next morning was beautiful but i soon found out that the only thing of beauty there was the weather.

The room was over expensive with broken furniture, dirty bathroom, no wardrobe, the bedside cabinet and dresser were so old, the inside bottom of the draws opened minus your clothes, etc! the AC was so loud you had to speak up load to be heard. The beds were dirty and very, very old and over-used. If you wanted a shower you had to be up by 5 a m and hit the shower else the water ran out. There is no laundry service so forget this. The underpaid staff were pleasant and helpfull enough. but the manageress/owner extremely rude and simply do not wish anyone to complain.

the food was good when one requested it but took a year to get to u regardless of whether this was breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In my opinion if one wants somewhere to merely sleep but not spend time, this is a last resort. A mirage indeed!

I stayed in this hotel over a weekend last year with my family. Its not a very big hotel although the service was good and the staff were always willing to help. There is a small pool and televisions in the rooms but not much other forms of entertainment within the hotel itself. The food was a little expensive but very nice and the location was beautiful with easy access to the city area.
I would definatly reccomend this hotel for people going with family for a relaxing holiday but not for those that are out for a loud and active hotel.
