I've stayed at several hotels in the Cap Haitian area. The staff and management are nice people and try to be helpful. For example, the screens in my room had large holes in them. Eventually, someone replaced the screens. The rooms themselves are comfortable but very basic. The food is good. The loction is in the city itself, and there is a security guard. Like most Haitian security guards, has a tendency to nod off at night, though. A conference/game room hsa been constructed. There is a pool. Televisions in the rooms don't work very well. Bring earplugs as the neighborhood can be noisy (chickens, church choirs, etc.) There is wi-fi in the restaurant. Whether I would reccomend this hotel depends on what is available in Cap Haitian - there are better options in the city itself, and if you want to stay someplace really interesting, there are hotels beyond Labadee Beach. You would have to take a water taxi, but for 20 dollars a night, you can stay in a very interesting place with great hospitality. Only catch is that it would make getting in and out of Cap each day time consuming as the road to Labadee is not paved. Please feel free to contact me for more information about Cap or Haiti in general as I lived there several years.
