This was my first time at Cormier Plage. I had a very pleasant experience. A very welcoming staff. Almost all the waiters speak decent English. Constant personal attention by the owner/manager himself. The rooms are spacious, comfy and very clean. The beach is one of the prettiest in Haiti. The food is excellent. They serve some of the largest lobsters I've seen anywhere. I also love the luscious gardens. The only downside is the road, but with a decent SUV it's bearable. This is a great getaway place.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Cormier, and we loved every minute of our stay. We had great service, and ate delicious food. Our stay was very relaxing.

Don't even want to waste my breath, The Staff were doing their best with the conditions of their employments.

As a White person i felt terrible , the way the owner and his sibblings were towards the staffs.

First time in Haiti, but nevertheless : my next time will for sure not there.

Cormier Plage is probably one of the nicest hotels in Cap Haitien relatively speaking (not that there is much competition...).
The pros:
- good service for the most part (excepted for one time where our driver stood us up, but the owner gave us a bottle of wine to make up for it). The workers overall are very nice and very polite.
- excellent food
- great beach (although not really good for swimming because of the close reef, and alot of rocks at the bottom) with rooms with ocean view
- peaceful

The cons:
- we were overcharged on new year's eve. We ended up paying an additional US $99 per person for a buffet (no glass of champagne was included and you would have to spend over $100 for a bottle). We thought the new year's eve dinner was included in our package since we did not have the option to take the regular menu (normally included the other days).
- worst bathroom we ever stayed (old, all white tile, rare hot water if any / dripping water, floor always wet from the shower)
- the hotel was hard to reach in the first place for the reservation. Not all of our questions were answered before booking (such as what was included in the package, or the meals) in spite of several emails and calls attempts.
- although our driver was wonderful (the one that ended up replacing the driver that didn't show up), we felt that prices were high, especially for Haiti. My girlfriend is haitian and thought they were abusing and taking advantage of people visiting there. It's a shame because Haiti is a very nice country and this might discourage alot of people from coming back.
- some night time activities would have been nice, since the hotel is far from pretty much anything.

As far as recommending this hotel, I would probably say yes with some reservation in regards to pricing. Overall we had a wonderful vacation.
