Was in Jacmel doing relief work for two weeks and leaving out of P-au-P early on a Friday, necessitating a place to stay on Thursday night. Not wanting to leave things to chance in an earthquake-torn city, I booked my night at this hotel before I left. On the plus side, it was a welcome change from sleeping in a tent for two weeks. They have a pool and a nice cabana-style bar. On the negative side, they are nowhere near the airport. While they have a PO Box in Port-au-Prince, they are actually located about 35 minutes away by mototaxi in Carrefour. The food service is exceedingly slow (48 minutes for eggs and hashbrowns) but this is the norm throughout the country, and not necessarily reflective of this particular hotel. I felt it was a good value, just not as convenient as I would have liked. If you reserve via email, be sure to have a copy of the reservation and quoted price handy when you check in - I was quoted $60 in email, but when I showed up they wanted to charge me $115. However, there was no problem with honoring the quoted price once I provided a copy of it.
