“refreshing”

I stayed here with my fiance, before we went to a rural village for a mission. It was refreshing to be somewhere in Haiit with running water, a toitlet, and even a swimming pool. The food was good, the rooms were clean, and it was relaxing in the evening. Will stay again for sure. Next time will request one of the rooms with an air conditioner.

Room Tip: request an air conditioned room

“Not bad!”

Was in PaP for a week and all the higher end hotels in Pieton ville were booked solid. Ended up at the Auberge which is about 1.5 hours (with traffic) away from that area. Keeping in mind it's Haiti, it was a great spot. Rooms were clean...staff for the most part helpful...and food was good. The downside is that you're pretty much going to be stuck in the hotel after dark. Areas of Pieton Villa are a bit safer and you can leave the property to go have off-site dinner. But this place is safe, comfortable and functional.

I stayed for a week and the service and helpfulness of the staff was great. The pool was well kept. The pea soup in the restaurant was to die for:-) The internet is very slow:-(

“For relief workers.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2010

If you are a relief worker, once you get the hang of it, this place is heaven, secure, comfy, a good deal, and charming.
If you mind waiting 2 hrs for dinner, don't like missionarys, or want USA style service dont go here.
Yeah they could use some better hangers but compared to the tent i was in before, this was better than the Waldorf....

“Auberge du Quebec is splendid with great service.”

I was recently in Haiti on a needs assessment trip on May 2, 2010. I usually stay at Auberge when I visit Haiti. I have stayed there with family and friends. After the quake it was great to see that the hotel was working to its fullest capacity. The service was great as usual, the food was delicious, the rooms are clean and the staff is quite welcoming. There is a pool table great for recreation. If you are in Port-au-Prince you should stay at Auberge du Quebec.
