“A solid choice - good location and service”

They are still repairing part of the hotel that collapsed after the earthquake and there is no dinner but I still like this place a lot. The staff are great and helpful and the rooms are pretty nice (they vary quite a lot). There is a functional gym and a very nice pool. Breakfast is good and the locations is perfect - close to all the restaurants, etc.

“Some of Haiti's Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2010

The two young Haitians in reception area were very personable and helpful. I was most impressed by the food. My friend and I still mention it at times. The pool was being repaired. They had two computers with the internet. Nice little gardens with some exotic flowers and trees as well as many Haitian paintings and craftsmanship displayed throughout the hotel. The room was large and beds were comfortable. We had a little secluded terrace which was nice to sit out in the cool morning air. Plenty of clean cold water to drink. They always have someone that speaks English available.

“Okay Stay”

The hotel is secluded in Petionville Haiti. No one outside of the hotel asking for money or trying to sell something to the guest. Not a big place to walk if your bored, but they did have computers with internet access. My room was single ocuppancy, and included air conditioning, private bath and tv. I stayed 3 days and the power went out only once. I did not like the food. For dinner, the meat in my spaghetti was hard and the sauce was dull and thin. The swimming pool is small. I ate out on the patio and think the hard metal chairs should be replaced with wood chairs and cushions. The front desk clerks were courteous, professional and spoke fluent English, and assisted me in arranging transportation to anywhere I wanted to go in Petionville and back to the airport. I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers, and women with children--but do not book single occupancy because the rooms are quiet small.

“Good place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2008

I went to Haiti for business and research. Most of my stay was at the Villa Creole in Petion Ville. It is a a nice smaller hotel and it is down the street from the El Rancho (which has a great Sunday buffet). Initially I thought the Villa Creole was okay but I was there during the food riots and the management really took care of its staff well. I stayed at the hotel for 20 days and tried out a number of rooms. If you can, go for the deluxe or rooms on the top floor and away from the reception, they are very good. The restaurant food is good, but the portions are small. Wine is also given at a very small amount and it is expensive. The only other thing I did not like was that the pool was too small and right in front of the restaurant so everyone can watch you. The internet is very good at the hotel! And the Haitian manager Mr. Rimble is a super nice guy - so is Roger. Enjoy your stay! C

“A Beautiful and Quaint hotel in PAP”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2008

I stayed at this little hotel twice while traveling on business to Haiti. The hotel is beautiful and tranquil. The entryway leads to a lovely sitting area with open archways looking onto the grounds and pool area of the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and immaculate. The hotel also feels very safe and secure.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this hotel was the breakfast served each day by the pool under the almond trees.

There are also a series of decks which you can sit on and look out onto Port-au-Prince. It's also a perfect place to watch the sun set!

The restaurant also serves excellent food at all hours of the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Haiti.
