“Exceptional service, Haitian warmth”

I stayed here when I led a large group of US visitors in December, 2011. I have traveled all over the world and have spent a great deal of time in Haiti. I have not found anywhere else in Haiti that offers the same level of attention to detail, service and professionalism that is offered by Villa Creole and its management and staff. Frantz Rimpel and his team hold their guests as their highest priority and seek to ensure that your trip objectives are met. If you are looking to get some work done, get somewhere on time, have one of the most lovely breakfasts sitting under a shade tree next to a pool, have a drink at the end of the day or make other plans, this is your accommodation. We could not be more grateful and could only have had the success we had on this very important trip because we did not have to be concerned with issues surrounding accommodations. Thank you so much, Frantz, Melissa, Herby, and everyone else involved.

Room Tip: There are a variety of room styles form which to choose. Some are larger, with sitting areas and ot...

My wife and I went to Haiti expecting the worst (the media version of Haiti) but we were pleasantly surprised with Villa Creole. The food was spectacular. The service was impecable. The rooms were clean and every evening we returned to fresh sheets and bedding. The cable channels were all hd quality. I was sad to leave. Although, Haiti is a poorer country than the neighboring Dom Rep., I received the caliber of service at this hotel that the DR has never delivered (I have stayed at many of the DR resorts).

“Hotel under Repair”

Firstly, all reviews in this town pre-earthquake January may not be reflective of actual present realities. La Villa Creole suffered damage and is functioning makeshift with major demolition and rebuilding underway. But other than workers and equipment onsite and construction noise (sometimes loud), you mightn't know it. Hotel is located in Petionville, a several hundred meter easy walk to a principal street, not that there's much to see or do there, only that necessities are available and within reach. Superior room 603 was comfortable and spacious, although not new has been kept up. Bathroom adequate with good hot water. View from window was of trees and greenery, minimal street sounds although air conditioner was old and noisy. Good cable internet, basic TV channels, safe but no minibar. This is one of the best Hotels in Port-au-Prince environs. Facility is spacious and rambling with a lot of tropical ambiance. Nice pool, but unfortunate layout has restaurant functioning in same space as loungeing and swimming area. Breakfast was kind of mediocre. Price was $155 per night. Villa Creole is perfectly ok choice if you want to be in Petionville. Driver to airport asked for $40, but accepted $30 when bargained.

“Great place; would stay here again.”

I stayed here for 3 weeks for business. Was consistently impressed with the friendliness and professional service by the staff.

They were starting their post-earthquake renovation when I was there (7/2011). Their kitchen/food options will be limited until that is complete. They serve breakfast and dinner and although it's limited, the food is very decent. They always have pasta dishes available and 2 dinner options each night. Happy to see they have veggie burgers on hand too!

The gym has 2 treadmills, a stationary bicycle, free weights, and weight machines.

Have only ever stayed at the Montana (loved it) and Ibo Lele and will say that the Villa Creole is better than the Ibo Lele in every way but the view.

Tip: Request a refrigerator for your room if not staying in a suite; nice to keeps snacks because not easy to pop out and shop.

“Always one of the Caribbean's best!”

have used the HVC over the years since the 60's and it only becomes better without sacrificing the great tradition and culture of the original concept of service and design.
Anyone wanting a "difference" should stay at HVC at least twice.
Frantz, the GM, and all of the people there, are simply a treasure of kindness!
