“Great in context”

I have stayed a few different places in Haiti and Club Indigo is by far the best. It is safe, clean, has excellent food and features an incredible beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Many speak very good english as well. With all of this said, one must understand that this is Haiti and things may not be as nice as our pampered American lifestyle's demand. We paid $110 per night and I believe this included a full breakfast. We feel that we received an excelent value and would highly recomend Club Indigo to anyone who is traveling in Haiti.

“Being at Club Indigo did not feel as if I was in Haiti”

My husband I traveled to Club Indigo last month and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and the Head Chef was always ready to help. We had an unforgivable honeymoon in Haiti; we definitely will share Club Indigo with others wanting to go to a calm place to enjoy Haiti.

Room Tip: All rooms faced the beach, but the view out of the window was of a palm tree. Nice, but I wanted to...

Just came back from a fabulous week end at Club Indigo in Haiti.. Beach, Pool, Food, Entertainement,( 31 December and January 1st 2012 parties were out of this world).Fun for the whole family. My wife and I, my 3 children (age mid 20's to mid 30's) my two grand daughters aged 12 and 18 we all had a grand time and are planning our return trip already. A very friendly staff always ready to help. Bedrooms are good, clean and comfortable but a bit narrow.
Very nice ground and beach scene for great photos.

Room Tip: All rooms are right on the beach in 3 story buildings .. First level is easy to access but beach/sea...

“It's Haiti, people.”

The grounds were very nicely kept, the location is dreamy and the staff is friendly. It is Haiti and they are only learning the tourism industry, so don't expect all inclusive style treatment. However, you get a great value, a safe place to stay, a wonderful chef, and beauty beyond imagination. Some rooms are nicer than others, ours had a pretty moldy shower and sometes no hot water, but when it's s hundred degrees outside you really don't want a hot shower.
The food was good, remember to stay away from things that are not peeled or raw, the nearest hospital is just enough far away.
The local vendors come to the grounds to sell crafts and souvenirs and they are your best bet. The artwork is great, very unique. The vendors are civil and you can bargain.

“What did I miss?”

We recently stayed at Club Indigo and wonder if we were at the same hotel described in the reviews. True, the beach and the pool were quite nice. The food also was quite nice. However, the room didn't have hot water, towels, and the general condition of the room indicated little or no maintence had been done for quite a while. Great potential (and likely great past) but major work needed to be done when we were there.
