“avoid!”

Surprisingly, hotel was almost full...bad start when the reception had no dollar or gourde change for $20 to pay the taxi, had to give the driver a $10 tip for a $30 charge...wi-fi didn't work for almost the entire 4 days i was there...repeated power stoppages practically meant no a/c at night...food barely edible, extremely overpriced (1 two inch burned veggie spring roll for $2.50)...somewhere else next time for me!

“Two stays: Both Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

Comfortable, welcoming, safe and clean -- not to mention being a real bargain. We stayed twice, coming and going to Jacmel, for a total of six nights. The staff was helpful and friendly, the food was excellent for Haiti (unless you want to pay really high prices even by U.S. standards) and the neighborhood was great -- good places to buy Haitian art, for example -- and safe, although the hotel had security.

“Best Boutique Hotel In Port-au-Prince”

The staff is so friendly! The food is incredible! This is a fabulous boutique hotel that makes you feel more at home than larger, more expensive hotels. I felt like royalty and was very pleased with the service and accomodations.

“extremely different”

It was a real eye-opening experience. You never realize how we as Americans take advantage of our way of living. They had hardly no plumbing or electricity. But yet and still, they survive. The people are very passionate. They treated me like royalty.I didnt expect to enjoy myself with the media here telling us not to go because of the kidnappings, murderings, raping and robbing.I was terrified at first. But when i got there and saw how passionate the natives were,i warmed up to it.I am currently planning another trip there soon!!

“Like a Princess at Prince hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2006

I have just returned from a week at Prince Hotel at Port-au-Prince, and is a very good hotel, has a very good service and all the empolyees are very kind and hard workers. The restorant, is small but the food is good, they have a nice pool where one can have a really good time.

I recomend Prince Hotel. Is clean, safe, and confortable, and also has Internet service. I had a good time at Prince hotel and if I go back to Haiti, I will stay there again.

  • Liked — the big room and confortable bed
  • Disliked — none
  • Tips/Secrets — take care and a second though before go to Haiti
