“A Haitian Paradise!!”

Me and my wife came to haiti for business to sign a couple paper works with the embassy and, to be honest, my stay at Palm inn Hotel was truly amazing, first of all the hotel has huge gates and walls with security guards which truly made me feel safe and secure, the staff was very kind and courteous, they truly aim to please their clients, the food to my surprise was truly amazing because not only they offer typical haitian cuisine but they also offer an internation cuisine as well, the rooms were nice and clean, internet is provided, Air conditioning and television are all provided,. best thing though is the pool, especially when you have to deal with the heat . A couple months ago i slept in the nearby hotels and none of them compare to this one. I truly recommend this hotel, it is a paradise

I went to the pine inn hotel to check in and the grounds were beautiful, the rooms were clean but not spectacular. there was a giant gate for security a plus. when my husband was told the price of the room it was double of whats quoted here on trip advisor, example our price was $110 a night and an additional $20 dollars if we wanted the air conditioner to run 24/7 otherwise it is scheduled to go off at 0700 am and come back on at 7pm. so of course we didn't stay for the fear that we may have been charged with hidden fees. when i asked the clerk about the advertised priceon trip advisor, she acted as if she didn't know what i was talking about. buyer beware

“Are we talking about the same place?”

Been living in Haiti for 14 years and needed a place to stay for a night. Based on the reviews here I tried this place out. So overpriced. And the meals and drinks - come on. A beer can be bought out on the street two doors away for $1US, a coke for 50 cents. Look for the lady cooking. Inside the hotel the beer is $4 and the coke $2!

Restaurant staff were anything but friendly. Food was medicore and way too expensive for what you get. Unfortunately there are no other restaurants in this area.

Fitness area consisted of machine placed outdoors. Pool didn't look clean enough to swim in. I wasn't going to chance it.

The way the hotel is described is nothing like the reality.

Check out the Visa Lodge or Habitation Hatt hotels nearby for nicer facilities. Coconut Villa, though a bit further, has the best pool of all, and is closer to shopping.

“Great Hotel for business trips !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2010

My colleagues and I were hired by a construction company in Haiti.
Our stay at Palm Inn was very pleasant.

The hotel's infrastructure is intact, and they have a security team working full time.
I felt very safe sleeping here.
The staff here is great; because they are always ready to help you.
During my stay, I had a flat tire, and the manager took care of it. (Free of charge , Thank you !!! :))

The restaurant is surprisingly good. They offer European meals, as well as local food. (You must try the local food here, it's great!)
The rooms are very clean, and the Wi-Fi that's included works 24/7, and for me that's a life saver.
During my stay, I had the opportunity to meet the owner (Mr. Berthold), he is very nice.

All and all, the hotel is a great place to stay if you are visiting or just on a business trip.
My job in Haiti is not done, so I have to go back in December.
I will come back for sure.

“survived earthquake/housed relief workers/expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2010

Our medical group had reservations but journalists overstayed their reservation so we had to sleep on the patio on the ground. Next day 8 of us shared 2 rooms and were charged $50 per person, eventhough we had to double up in the rooms. Gave us breakfast consisting of an egg and a wiener , juice, coffee, toast; was okay considering the earthquake caused shipments of their food to be nonexistant. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nothing fancy; beautiful landscaping. Safe; had armed guards and secured gates. Waitstaff very unorganized and inefficient
