Near the airport and a very comfortable place. I always stay here and I love it. They continue to improve though there is not much more they can, each trip here has something new. The pool is blue and the rooms are great. The owner is always here to make expected. Food is good and water is safe.sure you stay is what you

“Oasis in Port au Prince”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I was here for one week for work and found the Palm to be an oasis after busy days. The staff was wonderful, thoughtful and courteous (yes, a bit slower than what may be expected in the U.S., but we just factored that into our planning and all was fine). The rooms are clean, the food good (especially the omlets) and the hotel is safe. Very close to the airport. A good value for visitors to PaP.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are a bit newer.

“Cute Place, Poor Services”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

I want to like this hotel I really do. But there are many issues from making this hotel more competitive.

For $82 US it is one of the better deals in town but what does this mean in Haiti? Most hotels are overpriced and lacking in services and quality.

Haiti is a tough place to do business in but there are hotels which have their act together e.g. Visa Lodge, Villa Creole, (new) Montana.

One plus about Palm Inn is that it has really nice staff persons e.g. front desk, and security. The grounds are lovely and the pool also looks inviting.

A few issues that need attention:

1. Be ready when you come to expect that things will not work: internet is lousy, so if you are on business, this is not the place for you. The owner needs to pay up and get a good internet services, its just NOT acceptable that there is no internet. Nickel and diming on this will hurt business. Internet should be working in the rooms!
2. AC and hot water needs to be accessible all the time. It is not right that guests have to leave the room and try to track down staff to turn on buttons. This is plain silly.
3. Get phones connected to the reception! Ridiculous that guest have to wonder around for help.
4. Being stingy or soap and toilet paper is not good. Taking short cuts on these simple things can be very annoying.
5. More sat TV channels because there are only 4, and often not working. Owners need to pay up.
6. Food is overpriced for what one gets. And, it is not consistent. Breakfast is cheap and not fresh.

Owners really need to take stock of their cute gem and pay for things that are quality and stop looking for cheap short cuts.

“Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!!”

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days in June 2011 prior to getting married in Haiti on June 21, 2011. They hotel staff knew our purpose there was to be getting married and they accomodated us to the fullest! Upon our arrival we had a tasty bottle of wine waiting for us in our room! Our room was nice and cool with A/C and very clean! The staff was always making sure our needs were met at all hours of the day/night! The food was very nice and brought to our room, the pool, our patio, etc where ever we were when it was ready to be served. The grounds at the hotel were absolutely beautful and very well kept.....with many tropical flowers and shrubs, this was a great place for us to take picutres before and after the wedding. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful! This was my first trip to Haiti as my husband is from there and to be honest I was not happy to be going there at all.......but eveything was awesome! We will definitely go back at Christmas to see our family for the holidays and will stay here again!

“Safe and Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

We stayed there for about 5 days they were kind at check in they did not have the room we choose so they gave us a bigger one for the night at the same rate.

Staff-- Nice not overly nice just cordial

Food-- Get out early for the free breakfast because it goes fast!!! Never ate other meals my husband went out for food but it was a far distance, with the Cholera situation he went to people he knew to be clean so that was a ways away

Rooms -- Apartments upstairs were nice! big fridge table living area nice
Double bed room was decent. Warm water was a nice surprise..

TV-- not a ton of Cable channels but enough

Pool-- Nice!

We were near the gate not so the Guard with the Huge Gun was right there

Its not a bad place to stay $110 per night incl energy which is always on. AC works too.
I would do stay again but I will always search for better.
