“Oasis in Haiti”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for 1 night following a week long medical mission. Although not excellent by some standards this resort was just what we needed after camping all week, hot water, a bed, air conditioning, pool, sun, sand and the ocean. We had fun in the water and the food was pretty good, although the buffet is a bit expensive. I recommend this resort to everyone for a debriefing day fOllowing difficult mission work!

“A lovely place, an oasis in Haiti, but room for improvement.”

I stayed here, not for the first time, on the 29th of October. Check-in was efficient, although delayed by computer problems. The bar and restaurant were very good. Bed was comfortable. Shower luke-warm with poor flow. Wireless intermittent. It is a good respite in an area without much competition mainly used by the UN, NGO's, contractors, and visiting relief and healthcare workers.

“Quiet, Quaint, Relaxing”

I stayed here with a small team of people, both American and Haitian, for four nights while teaching at a conference held nearby. Most of daytime hours were spent elsewhere and I only took one meal on site. The facilities were excellent..everything worked and was clean. maid service was good. The overall facility was very nice. Seems to have been updated recently, but still has some old charm. The pool is great, the grounds clean and the one meal I had (a buffet) was good (maybe just short of excellent), though a bit pricey. After spending all day in the heat, teaching about 6 hours each day and eating Haitian food (which was rather good) prepared for a large group, it was great to come back to Moulin Sur Mer, shower, swim, shower again and sleep in comfort.

“A RELAXING TIME!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2009

Most of our stay was great! Our room was immaculate. We went in the middle of the week so it was almost empty until the weekend. We were visiting family in P-A-P and needed some time away with running water and air conditioning. We had a huge atractive room with a huge balcony and beautiful view. Water and toilet did not always work so we used another room to bathe one night. The other room was not as lovely as ours. I guess we just lucked out. Most of the staff was great. Food was okay but had to wait a long time for our fist dinner while a bunch of young men sold us items. The pool did not have water but didi start to fill it while we were there but was not full by the time we left. So that was really disappointing. Ocean was so nice. Sand too hot to walk on. The resort at night lit up very nicely and we could hear american music at a nearby resort where they had entertainment. We enjoyed the museum at the resort and went for a walk to the club med resort next door with a neighbourhood boy. Man at gate with gun was a little scary!!! But a much more lovely resort there with a lot of grounds to walk. They had a beautiful pool but were not officially open until the weekend. The view of the mountains and nearby island was lovely as well. So we enjoyed our stay away from the heat of port-au-prince.
