Was in Guadeloupe on business, and had to locate accomodations on short notice. My handler put me in this hotel. Hearing it was a 'Novotel' I balked, having stayed at Novotels in Europe, but was told that was all there was. As an American, who spoke little French, I really felt quite comfortable. The rooms were nice and staff helpful (and NEVER rude). The food was very good. No English speaking channels on the television. No internet access, but location was good. Best darn shower I have had in ANY hotel, bar none. The hotel was filled with French nationals on holiday. This seems to be a select hotel for package vacations from France. Guadeloupe, in general, seems to be a place for the French to visit on their holiday from France. Martinique, on the other hand, seems to be more western in style, catering more to the American traveler.
