“Amazing place, beautiful views and wonderful people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We couldn't speak of a more welcoming top notch resort. The layout, decor and secluded feel of the resort was exactly what we had hoped for.it was simply wonderful. What really stood out in our mind was the staff. Never had we experienced such a parade of gratitude from strangers. Every single person working there was so willing to be of assistance. From the grounds keepers to the wait staff everyone knew your name and said hello.Alicia the conciere went above and beyond to make your trip extra special. We've traveled quite extensively to many countries and True Blue ranks in the top 2 spots in our mind. Highly recommend and congrats to all that work there-wonderful job-you all need a raise ;) with love from Colorado-Megan & Ben Engelhardt

“Wonderful stay at True Blue Bay Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We love this resort. We stayed in a Villa that's owned by friends. The entire staff is wonderful - especially our lovely waitress in the Dodgy Dock, Shadi. Daily cleaning of the rooms keeps them immaculate. We loved the live music in the Dodgy Dock, and had a blast dancing. We found the food quite good.

We dove with Aquanauts, which is right on the True Blue Bay Resort property and a short walk from our room. The dive staff was fabulous.

Highly recommended!

“Still the best value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Following my previous report (in 2009 I think), this place remains a delightful place to stay. It has a very friendly atomosphere, and the owner is now Chairman of the local tourism authority - but hopefully retains the cynicism seen in his hotel booklet eg late night emergencies - don't call Ross as he will be sleeping!.

Hiring a car is pretty much a necessity in Grenada, but Indigo at the True Blue offer pretty good deals, although some of their vehicles are showing their age. Service and food at the restaurant remain somewhat a mixed bunch: I personally don't like "Mexican Nights" and so on, but if you have the recommended hire car, there are plenty of other options nearby, and True Blue recommend them in their brochure.

Notwithstanding my comments on the "theme nights", True Blue seems to get in really good groups to provide live music. Bob Marley with a female lead singer and an excellent saxophonist were superb!! Watch out though, Grenada seems to have bred a certain species of show-off "Strictly Come Dancing" type of couple who insist on demonstrating their l;atest "moves" and therefore discouraging anyone who wants to have a quick bop from participating!! It wasn't that way a couple of years back.....

My True Blue room was rather dark, and with little option to lighten it up. Closed blinds bult in to the bdoor double glazing don't help, but afew spotlights or similar vwould be welcome for we poor soul;s who actually come to Grenada on business.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with plenty of light......

“Nice try!”

We are still here and over all we have enjoyed the stay. However qthere are a number of issues.
Location isn't great unless you are a sailor. horizon yachts is here and we have sailed so that is good. The beach is 10 mins away by taxi or bus.
Food is good but nothing fantastic. limited choice and not always served as hot as it could be.
we are in a tower room ans the space is good but only one sun bed and the sun chairs are uncomforatable so you can't sit for long.
Shower is poor. Nice design but no water pressure. Also not draining well. Lights not working next to our stairs so very dark coming and going at night. It was reported but not repaired thus far.
We are all inclusive but not sure what we are going to end up paying for. "house drinks" have not been explained neither come that was the all inclusive explained when we arrived.we had to ask and it still wasn't explained well or fully. Locals and staff very friendly and no issues there at all other than they are not as attentive as they could be all the times.
2 pools here both good but watch out for the ants! very quiet generally but close to airport so occasional plane going over but not an issue.
Dodgy Dock bar and restaurant ok no issues with food other than not as sophisticated as we expected given that frequented by yachties etc.
over all a 3 star may be 4 on occasions. I know what a 5 star is and this isn't one. Don't book with this in mind if that's what you are looking for.

“Great Villa! Friendly staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We stayed here for a week over holidays and had wonderful time! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it does not sit directly on sandy beach. It does have lovely harbor views and two hotel pools. We also had private poll in our villa. Very spacious villa, clean and private. We checked in late and hotel had sandwiches prepared for us and flowers in room. Miss Omega's breakfasts are divine. Suggest getting a car and happy hour. Scuba and Horizions sail on sight.
