Got bitten very badly here, food very fussy and not really what ordered very nicely presented on the plate but expensive for what it was and parking was not great and a bit of a long winded way to get there through the hotel

The location is very nice, just a short walk from your room to the beach and pool area. The room was rather dark and drab, clearly overdue for refurbishment. Needed a lot of spraying to clear it of mosquitos. This hotel is clearly not up to the standards of the Rex or True Blue, but to be fair, neither are the prices. Breakfast is not included, but there is a small restaurant on site and a supermarket just across the road.
The gym equipment is very old and basic, but useable. It has ceiling fans, but nevertheless is best avoided in the heat of the day.

Recently stayed at the Allamanda for 1 week, and after reading the reviews was
pleasantly surprised. Check in on arrival was very quick and we were soon in our
room and unpacked. The room was basic, but well equipped with everything we needed -
good airconditioning, ceiling fan, cable t.v and coffee maker. The beds were a good size
and clean and comfortable. We had a good size balcony area with views of the lovely
well kept gardens. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed if needed, also
sheets changed once during our stay.
The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the fabulous Grand Anse beach, and the
hotel provides sun beds to take onto the beach. Also you are just over the road to
a shopping centre which has a food court.
Eating and drinking in the hotel bar/restaurant is very reasonably priced and was very good.
We also found the staff and management very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
I would definately return to this hotel again, due to the very reasonable cost and location.

Drop the price to $25 per night to match the lack of quality or upgrade the place. My wife had to clean the bathroom and sheets of pubic hairs after checking in. The annoying noise was not the refrigerator hum (she unplugged it) - turned out it was mice or rats in the walls and doors. The door was rotten and could easily be breeched with a push. This is NOT a resort. It is a crappy, run-down motel. Front desk personnel was unsympathetic. Probably used to this by now! Avoid.
