“What more could you want?”

My husband and I stayed here from 21 Dec through to 4 Jan and loved it. The grounds are really beautiful and the cottages (we had a smaller studio) are great. They're not perfect decor or style-wise, but who cares when you have a beautiful island to explore?! The main thing is that everything is clean and the staff are helpful. Pool area lovely. Restaurant ok but overpriced and lacking in ambience. For good food try: Le Chateau (again, not flash but gorgeous fresh grilled fish); Umbrellas for lunch - or the day after too much rum! - and (much to my surprise) the sushi restaurant. Jerk chicken nice too (small stall on side of road). Fish Friday ok - best thing about it was steel drums. Best beaches in my opinon are - in no particular order - Grand Anse, Morne Rouge and La Sagesse (this is a wow beach).

Room Tip: Can't see that any would be a problem as they're spaced out nicely. Inevitably higher you g...

My family and I left here yesterday, much to our disappointment. There is a wonderful family feeling here, personified by the owners Mr and Mrs Hopkin and their daughter. No big brash Ai resort here. 32 cottages, with kitchenettes, aircon and comfy, maybe in need of a little lick of paint but in a lovely setting 3 minutes from Grand Anse Beach. If i have to make a criticism, it would be nice if the poolside bar had remained open a little later maybe 8.30 - 9.00pm, as this was the focal meeting point for the guests and their kids and would have made it an even more sociable stay. Lovely cool pool which was enjoyed by the kids and the adults with a nice cocktail was the perfect way to spend Xmas Day. Will return again.

“Perfect for family Vacation”

We spent a week at Blue Horizons and could not have been more pleased with our decision. It is a great value for your money. No, it is not the lap of luxery nor is the price. What you do get is a comfortable & clean space in an excellent location. We did use the kitchen for breakfast mostly. We were able to have coffee and breakfast on the terrace while our teens snoozed. Having that convenience also allowed us to pack snacks or even a lunch for full day adventures around the island. We were able to walk to Grand Anse and Mourn Rouges beaches, several restaurants and a large grocery store. The front office staff was incredible. A special thanks to 3 amazing women - Lynndonna, Despin and Mary all were cheerful, helpful and never tired of our endless questions. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the stairs Room 29 at the top had a beautiful view. Saw quite a few rainbows...

“Fab gardens and helpful staff but a little tired”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

Spacious units with a large bedroom, good size bathroom and open plan sitting/dining/kitchenette with a nice, private outdoor terrace. Very friendly staff and a good, daily cleaning service. The kitchens are tired and in need of refurbishment but quite well equipped (we had to buy a cutting board and some mugs but otherwise ok).
The accommodation is set in beautiful grounds, very well maintained and it's a short walk (about 5 mins) to Grand Anse beach which is a superb long beach. Blue Horizons guests have the use of sun beds at the sister hotel on the beach. You can also use their bar and restaurant but it is very expensive! There is a small on site pool at Blue Horizons. Easy to walk to restaurants and there's a big supermarket just down the road. lots of buses and taxis to take you to St. George's etc We hired a car for a few days and this was very useful to see more of the island

Room Tip: Choose a room near to the front of the scheme as the grounds rise steeply! e.g. Numbers 1-8

“home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding. We had no idea that the room would be so big, and with a seperate sleeping area and bathroom. Kitchenette was fully equipped would have liked a microwave ,but oven and cooker made up for it.

The lighting was a little dark in the living room but they said they were looking to change this. If you hire a car you can park near the front gate or on the grass outside your room, felt guilty doing this as the grounds were so perfect and lush and we parked on the grass and made it look a bit messy. The shopping mall was a short walk down the road and the beach was only a little further, so beautiful so relaxed. Wonderful. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: There rooms at the top of the hotel and the view from the balcony was brilliant saw right down to th...
