“Beautiful relaxing and top-notch service at Spice Island Beach Resort”

I think first and foremost the thing that sticks out in my mind is the service. Not only the professionalism and dedication but the friendliness of the staff towards us.. To me, this is the most important thing a hotel can do to win the loyalty of their clients and you have done it superbly. This is truly what that sets Spice Island Beach Resort apart from others. . As well, the family atmosphere, the hands on approach and the availability of senior staff are noticeable and impressive.

We stayed in a beautiful Royal Collection Pool suite and also had a chance to peek in other rooms for a possible future trip and all were lovely.

All meals, breakfast lunch and dinner, provided us with an excellent number of choices. The fact that each menu offers a combination of standard fare, local dishes and some exotic choices means that there is something for everyone and that each meal becomes an experience. Truly a highlight !

Although we didn’t have a chance to try out the water sports or the tennis, we did experience Janissa’s Spa as well as the gym both of which we really enjoyed.

Our guided tour of the island was outstanding and gave us a great overview. Our day touring on our own by car from Vista Car rentals gave us an “up-close” look and allowed us to really do some exploring.

We will definitely be back!

“A Classic!”

This was our first trip to Grenada and staying at Spice Island. It was absolutely terrific. I would have to say that two factors make it the best place on Grenada: 1. Service 2. Location. The staff are the most professional, friendly and helpful I have encountered. Also, it's ideally situated on a great stretch of Grand Anse Beach, close to other amentities. We stayed in an Ocean view suite which was very comfortable. The pool and spa were great. In terms of food, the meal service in the evening was very elegant and meals were a production. The staff works as an integrated team so everything works. They also make an effort to be personalized. I can think of nothing to complain about. It is a classic beach resort with a traditional feel. Grenada itself is a special island because of its beauty but most of all because of the friendliness of the people. I would highly recommend to people who appreciate a personal touch with all the comforts.

“Relaxing but very quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We enjoyed a week at the hotel in November 2011 for my 50th birthday. Upgraded to beachfront room when arrived for $300, well worth it! Lovely rooms and bathrooms, excellent wardrobe space, lovely bedding. Service excellent, friendly bar staff, plentiful supply of drinks on all Incl package but white savignon not to my taste. Very relaxing holiday but extremely quiet so bed early each night after dinner/drinks. Food: Lunches excellent. Evening meals tried a little too hard sadly and didn't always work but overall, very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and wished me a happy birthday with a huge chocolate cake on the first night! Rained each day in October, some torrential but hey ho.

Room Tip: Beachfront rooms single storey and great view

“Wonderful hotel - paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

My only disappointment is that I did not stay there longer.

This is a paradise. I had a separate villa with a small cute pool (see photo) and a sauna room. The suite had 2 rooms - a small living room and mid-size bedroom. Everything impeccably clean and neat. Great, friendly service.

The hotel is expensive and it should be. Probably the best hotel I ever stayed.

Room Tip: Get a villa with a swimming pool

“Great place to get away from it all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Grenada is a quiet destination and Spice Island Beach Resort is the perfect place to stay on this friendly, beautiful island. The rooms are big, well equipped and clean. The bathrooms are huge with gorgeous fixtures.
The location cannot be beat...walk out of your room and onto Grand Anse Beach!
The staff is accommodating and always greet you with a smile.
We ended up making great friends with the other guests and while we were not on the all inclusive plan, we did eat at the hotel daily (breakfast/lunch and/or dinner) and the food was very good.
The only thing we felt were negatives were that the bar closes early...the spa is not really on par with other resorts in the Caribbean...you have to pretty much know what you want to do, and then the concierge is helpful...but, don't expect them to ask you what you like to do and suggest a plan for your stay.
