Todo Blanco is a beautiful, Italian run hotel in Las Galeras in the Dominican Republic. The grounds are well manicured, and breakfast is included. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, fresh juice, bread, and eggs with coffee. The rooms have a balcony facing the ocean. Hot water showers are included (although the water didn't always run warm when we there, but since it's really hot outside that's not so bad), and although they are without air conditioning the ceiling fan keeps the room cool. For two people, we negotiated a rate of $70 US per night in the middle of the week in late June. On the weekend, with a 3rd party added, they gave us a rate of $90 US for one room with two beds. Although they charge a fee for credit card usage, they are fair with the US exchange rate when converting to pesos for payment. There's no pool, but the hotel is charming and the beach is right there. Las Galeras is a sleepy little town and has lots of places to eat good, inexpensive food. Las Terrenas is also nice, but be prepared to pay a lot more for food there unless you are staying somewhere with a kitchen and are able to make your own food.
