My boyfriend and I and my daughter and her friend stayed at the Now Larimar from May 18-25, and our trip was amazing! This was my 7th time to Punta Cana, but my first at this resort, and I was extremely pleased with this resort! It's a tropical paradise and looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The staff here go out of their way to make it special!

After reading many reviews, we went with the preferred club and were very pleased with our choice. Check in was a breeze. When we arrived, we were directed to the preferred club lounge where Marcelino Lora greeted us, got us drinks, welcomed us to the family and our new home. I emailed Marcelino before we went to see if we could have adjoining rooms with my daughter. He not only granted our request, but he also surprised us with a free room upgrade that had a great view. He was in the lounge every day and went out of his way to make us feel special. He had more rum and Presidente Lite sent to our room. There's even a pillow menu that we all took advantage of. Efrain was also part of the preferred club and did a great job!

We all thoroughly enjoyed the pools and beach area. There were always enough loungers no matter what time we went down. Martinez, Johan, and Mercedes at the preferred pool bars all did a wonderful job! We couldn't wait to see them every day! In the ocean, there is a water trampoline that we all tried. We took a walk down the beach to the "Dominican Walmart" and got lots of gifts cheapie cheapie.

As for the restaurants, we tried them all. Out of all the resorts that I've stayed, this one had the best food! For breakfast, our favorite was Windows, and we enjoyed the entire staff Jose, Juan, Jamelson, Arimendi, and Daisa. Jose Aleyandio was the best waiter! He was also at the Italian restaurant for dinner. Windows buffet did have mostly the same foods as the main buffet, but the food was hotter and fresher. Since it's only for preferred guests, it was never crowded, and there were no lines at the omlet station. We took bread from here as we left to feed the fish and turtles on our walk back, and the walk was only a few short minutes. For dinner, our favorites were Spice and the Italian restaurant. At the Italian restaurant, you have to try the stuffed chicken breast! Yummm! We made reservations for Spice two nights since it was so good! This was the only restaurant you could make reservations for, but there was never a wait at any of the restaurants.

At night, there's the sports bar and my favorite Moments lobby bar. They have tasty drinks of the day, and the best is the Tropical Wow Wow. We also went to a few shows and the beach party. There animation team was great! We especally enjoyed Happyface and Fabio. Fabio danced with us every night at the nightclub.

I'm sad to be back home now and can't wait to return next year to visit my Dominican family and home!

My wife son and I booked the preferred club . The room was nice but after 2 days we upgraded to the ocean suite which was the best thing we could have done.... Beautiful view and our butler efrain was the best part of our stay. If we needed anything it was taken care of right away. The hotel is very lucky to have such a remarkable and outstanding employee. We were not much for getting dressed up for supper so we spent most of the dinners at the carnival buffet . We were spoiled by Wilton Wilki and David their attentiveness made our dinners enjoyable . I spent a lot of time at the preferred pool bar , where Johan kept the beer flowing and I felt soooo relaxed . If you want a stress free vacation , be spoiled and have excellent service now is a great place to relax and enjoy

My wife and I had a wonderful two week vacation at the Now Larimar from May 11-24. The resort, food, beach, pool and service were great. The most impressive part of the resort was the staff. They were very cordial and friendly. The entertainment team were good. In the service sector, Zoris Elizabeth Santana was great with her daily smile and courteous words. Henry Ramires was surperb in the service department. He went above and beyond his call of duty to serve us. Thanks to all for a good time. EXCELLENTE!!

Me and my partner are currently staying at Now Larimar and i will write a more detailed review when we get home in 12 days but just thought i would write a small update now. We arrived yesterday morning and so far so good. There have been a few small issues for example things in the room not working and the smell but mainly so far it has been great. We have spent months on trip advisor reading the bad and good reviews and i must say anyone who says the food here is bad, nothing must please them as the food is fantastic. The rooms are musty as people have said but it is managable and to be expected. We are in an ocean front master suite and the room is gorgeous, it is smaller than it looks in the pictures but still large all the same, the mini bar was stocked full and ice was delivered again today. A honeymoon banner was on our door when we got here though no fruit exotic fruit platter or fresh flowers as stated in our honeymoon package. The staff are very friendly especially patricia at the preferred club lounge who says "you are my family". As everyone has already said junior at the preferred pool bar is also lovely. We have yet to experience all the resturants and entertainment but we will keep you updated and as said post a much more detailed review on arrival home.
